Saw it at the cinema on Saturday, good movie to waste a few hours on. 3D was surprisingly good.

So are many other films, like Django. The oscars meant a lot of screeners went out, it's obvious they would get leaked.

shynsly says

Like most other technical fields (medical not withstanding), there's been major advancements in the forensics field which have definitly made it easier for law enforcement to figure out "whodunit".

But possibly even more so seems to be the fact that many criminals are thankfully too stupid to keep their actions to themselves. They either have an accomplise that manages to get them caught, or worse yet, they feel some compulory urge to brag about their crime to someone who ultimately ends up ratting them out.

It's generally believed that the juveniles and hackers are getting caught because they're bragging, because they're boasting about it, whereas the more serious criminal is not, and hence is much more difficult to catch. Is that still the case?

I think we have seen a number of instances where hackers have been caught in part because they bragged about their exploits in chat rooms.

Also, is this some kind of reverse bragging? A competition to find out who's too poor to even go to the cinema for the biggest film of the quarter?

I feel sure everyone who downloads knows this kind of stuff already without being told and those that can afford the cinema just go to the cinema.

On the subject of the film:

Good film, but seriously, you could shave half an hour off it just by snipping one second from before and after every scene. The editor seemed very lax by professional standards. It was almost lax enough to spoil the film, but not quite, still quite an enjoyable romp, at least once you'd ploughed through the first half an hour.
Well I live in the jungle... and all the movies are in spanish and we all no good movies or anime is better in the orginal language XD

It seemed good i didnt watch much as i was just streaming Ill def download it later.

It's definately one of those films you need to see on the biggest screen possible. Well worth going to the cinema. Saving a few bucks by downloading just because you can really isn't worth missing out on the experience.
I think "The Hobbit" could have done without the 3D though (unfortunately no "oldschool" 2D screenings here). For the most parts, it was just a gimmick and not doing anything for the film. It even gave some shots a rather cartoonish look or felt like watching an oldfashioned theater performance(i.e. looking like painted sheets for middle- and backgrounds).

Here in Germany there usually is always at least one showing of the movie in it's original language every week, so luckily we can always decide if we would like to have the original actor's voices or the german translation.
