Does this Build works with a Tabula Rasa, just wondering ?

I wouldn't suggest it, since you need to get close to mobs and bosses, therefore armor is needed. You COULD use Tabula to start RF, then swap armor. I personally wouldn't, because you'd lose any damage added from hp on the armor (or whatever is added...depending on the chest).

Does the MF from gears affect RF ? Sorry too long post to see if this question is answered already..Planning to build smth like this build but for fast Piety runs only(Invasion).

Curious, Mondo has more total aura effect whereas necro has less (34% vs 15%).

I'm trying to find a nice balance. I have a respec on a scion in standard and old gems that mostly fit this that I would like to try it. Then maybe later run it in ambush. I want to be tanky but deal good damage. Like to be able to run top level maps. Heck, maybe even take a crack at atziri.

Currently the character is level 75 with 95 passives. I think she'll need to redo one bandit quest.

Here's my planned RF build currently.

+263 life
252% life
7.7% life regen
202% armor
+4% to Only fire
60% burning damage
8% reserved mana
12% increased radius
8% increased area damage
12% increased effect of auras

Thoughts?
It lacks some damage. Should I skip the purity of flesh to grab the burning damage on the way to immolation (would be 1 pt from immolation which is my missing bandit cruel passive pt)

I do have a level 19 or 20 purity of fire. I have 20/20 RF gem. My increased area of effect gems are around level 17/18. Concentrated effect I'm lacking but could poexyz it. Level 20 reduced manas. Armor/gear is ok. Some has life. I need to play around with all the stuff in my tabs.

thanks!

I took aura effect nodes because I don't use mana enough to worry about not having much available. I can run Determination, Vitality, and PoF, and the effect nodes give them all a boost...most importantly an additional +1% to max FR with 3% to buffs from Holy Strength. When all is said and done, this allows you to skip additional .4% regen nodes. For a hardcore character I would still use my build again, but probably take more regen vs some 6% life nodes.

Purity of Flesh is optional. I took it because I wanted the extra chaos resist for Dominus farming, and some map bosses, in addition to more life. Also, keep in mind life is important for 3 things: surviving hits that would normally be a 1hit, faster regen per %, and more damage (the most overlooked). I'm building to Immolation last.

Elementalist is another node you can take for more damage...1 point for 12% elemental damage...which is the same as 12% burning or fire damage.

With my tree, I can facetank ANY boss I've come across, but haven't run into Atziri yet. Currently I have 6.1k hp, and 16.7k armor (with Determination running, but no pot use). Both of those stats are boosted a lot from gear upgrades, which is another thing to consider.

I hope this sheds some insight on your build.

great, thanks for the response! What drove me more towards your posted build actually was that it had more armor and more life. The life I noticed immediately would help the damage but wasn't sure the give/take or the couple nodes vs burn. Also, I like that cluster near templar with elementalist right there as well. Later I'll try to apply this build and see what armor/gear I have to see how she runs. It was the buffs that kind of through me off though since it would buff damage as well.

Thanks!

up to level 65 till u switch to RF what skills did u use to actually level up? I know you say heavy strike and splash but u used that all the way until 65? Thanks a lot man
Ok got set up for the moment until I get my hands on a rise of the phoenix. This actually plays a lot like RF. Cast totem and tank the mobs with enduring for aggro to keep the totem alive. Been doing some Piety runs but no luck getting her to dro a rise of the phoenix ;)

Level 68
Skills: searing bond totem with EE. Trigger EE with ice nova
HP: 4k3
DPS 4k4
All resistances capped at 79%
Physical damage reduction with granite 87%

Passive Tree

Gear

Total costs around 10 chaos but the searing touch is self found

The excel sheet on main page is nice, serves its purpose but I figured I'd take a shot at it as well. One with a little more depth.

So, I took an old Spork excel doc that I had and retooled it for this using Only scion as starting path. I believe I have the numbers right. I haven't been able to stop home and turn on POE and see if my numbers are 100% right on for Life. Mana I'm pretty sure is correct and ES.

Basically, fill in all the info in bold. Gem level, int/str/dex from gear and passives, etc. Includes bandit quests option as well.
This is a public copy. So, please make a copy for yourself before editing. I have spares just in case

Life/recovery per sec is your Total life regen
RF Damage/Sec is the calculated damage of your RF. (I think I did that right)
RF Degen is how much you are burning for
RF Regen Balance IF GREEN it's ok. That number is your net regen after dealing with the burn.

Note: If you use the path of exile skill tree planner program the following needs to be done when entering numbers:
Spoiler
-subtract 20 from each stat Int/Str/Dex (scion starts with 20 to each)
-Don't enter the +max life number. They factor in the starting 50 life and life from strength already which the sheet also does. You'll need to enter the life from passives on tree (+16 marauder starting node, +10 scion starting node, +30 heart of warrior, +30 discipline and training)

If you did want to change it to Marauder then
Spoiler
on the 2nd tab, Database. Change the numbers from scion to those for marauder which are: 14 int, 14dex, 32str. Leave life and mana. All classes start with 50 life, 40 mana. When you see a different number, like on the wiki, it's because they are factoring in the strength and int.

Let me know what y'all think. If there are any errors post what you see.
I'll double check my life/es calculations when I get home with my character's in game stats sheet.

Enjoy!
