Necro's pure righteous fire build HC, 90% phy dmg reduction, cheap! (5 seconds piety vid) lvl89

Hi guys, what do you think of this:

Situation 1
Currently, most people using the build has a 28% increase in the effect of auras we cast.
Purity of fire would give us 4 x 1.28 = 5.12% = 5% maximum fire resist

So our maximum fire resistance would be:
75 + 8 (From sheild) +2 (From Elemental adaption) + 5 (From purity of fire) = 90%
The damage we take from RF = 90%x(1-0.9=0.10) = 9%

Situation 2
Assuming we take the holy strength and inner force:
The effect on auras/buffs on us would be a total of (28+3+3+3+15 = 52%)

Purity of fire would give us a total of 4x1.52 = 6.08 = 5% maximum fire resist

So our maximum fire resistance would be:
75 + 8 (From sheild) +2 (From Elemental adaption) + 6 (From purity of fire) = 91%
The damage we take from RF = 90% x (1-0.91=0.09%) x 1.24 (Additional dmg from the increase buff effect) = 10.044%

As we can see, situation A only requires us to have 9% hp regen instead of situation B, which requires us to have 10.044% hp regen to make up for the damage done to us by righteous fire.

However, we have to realise that for that 1.044% increase in hp degen we have, we have a 152% effect of buffs/auras on us instead of 128%.

At end-game maps, we rely a lot on auras to increase our survivability.
For e.g.
lvl20 Determination
w/o inner force and holy strenght
Our armour would be 151%x1.28 = 193.28%
w/inner force and holy strenght
Our armour would be 151%x1.52 = 229.52%

This increase in armour, and mind you, its just one aura, can increase our physical damage reduction by quite a great deal. Perhaps from 60% to 64/65%. That is equivalent to a permanent endurance charge.

Anyway, is the calculator gonna get fixed? Please pm me if it does. You should remove it for now, since it doesn't do anything atm.

Also: I picked up EE...set ice nova with CwDT + Enduing + Immortal and it works AWESOMELY! I get hit and a whole group of mobs insta-poof...including rare mobs. No need for BM nova cast :D

I'm trying different skills for killing totems since I don't use enough charges yet for Discharge to work well enough. Currently have Arc linked with Lightning Penetration, but both are too low to decide if this will suffice.

I read that at some point we can swap vitality with another aura.
When do we swap it? After respecced growth and decay, I only have 8,4% regen without vitality, is that enough ?

Hello, I got to that point after leveling pof to 20 (effective level 23 with weapon and empower). However there is no "point" requirement as this can be achieved by having the right fire resistance and life regeneration to sustain RF without vitality, by using other gear, other passives etc..just calculate what you need :)

I cannot say anything about the calculator as I cannot edit it. It is removed from the guide until it gets fixed.

As for totems I haven't fully tried it yet but I think flameblast has to be the best option besides discharge. The build has already AOE and burning damage which benefit flameblast.

I think in the end putting those points on other passives and taking less damage from RF outweights boosting the auras however I haven't tested it and it's just my thought.
BTW if you have an effective level 23 pof you get a 7% to maximum fire resistance with 1.52% to auras/buffs.
