Will the desync ever be fixed?

I can't count the times I died because of warping around the map, it's like the game is trying to decide where the hell my char really is, by moving it all around. Worse thing is, most of the time whenever I hit a mob, it's not even where I'm hitting at, and all of the sudden it changes its position.
I know there must be some other post talking of this matter, so I don't really care about reposting, the more the merrier, maybe the devs will finally realize of this problem.
No
No, not really.
It's inherently tied to information having to travel at the speed of light and no faster.
It's acerbated by the developers' choice of game mechanics and the fact that the server never trusts the client.
This makes the game better in many important points (like being able to evade attacks manually, having evade mechanics through evasion and some more), but sadly is paid for by having to have desync problems.
Every other online game has those problems, too. But due to different mechanics they don't seem to be that severe.

As I see it the most viable solution is to add more servers around the globe, but sure this'll take time and money.. sadly.
no, never, this game will have it for as long as it will live.

There is a 120+ pages long desync thread right next to yours (with dev responses) but I guess you were too busy to notice. I am sure that without your help the devs would have never known about the issue because they never seen fifty other threads about this matter during last two months. Your contribution will never be forgotten.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future.

The device is believed to have been dropped
Often asked, and the answer is always "it may get slightly better, it could definitely get worse, but there's no chance it will ever be fixed."

The desync that happens in this game if far more than just that. Travel time would merely cause lag. Desync is something else entirely.

No. Not unless GGG rewrote the entire netcode to trust the client which they won't do. Desync in PoE is here to stay.
Crafting doesn't exist in POE. Gambling does...and the house always wins.
