Jan 7: 1h Solo HC

Ok so I said a prayer to the RNG god before starting this and he rewarded me sick boots from hillock lol. Although I forgot to pray to server stability god so he punised me by dc'ing me during brutus fight and during merveil fight(just before hitting p2). Luckily prison didn't reset, but cavern of anger did so i had to clear the mobs again to reach merveil and kill her phase 1 again :(



So what could have been lvl 18 run easily was just barely lvl 17.

Fun race indeed, was top for a while only because i had to do so much killing because of bad zones... Chest in prison dropped:

Due to really bad Forest ( had 3 rare apes with slow aura, resist elemental, and regen...)
I lost alot of xp trying to at first kill them, and then 5 minutes later RUN THE "F" away.

Good race overall even though with this gear luck I got, I expected to get higher.
As I had gotten level 19 with really bad drops(no increased damage bows and no movespeed boots) and good zones.

Was my first serious race event after doing some research on shadow. Pretty happy with the overall third place and class third place. Just dissapointed in my unlucky tripple rares. So only had a good 1minute farm at Western Forest...

Man I did it all wrong... Wasted 30-40 percent of my time. Ended at lv 10, I get to ledge at 8... when should have got there and farmed there and went straight through to the cove. Also I went to town 4 times... I should have went only once and should have use TP jsut to resupply. If I did that differently my witch should have been 17 plus.

that was a blast, was hoping top mara would die, could have beed first in my class oh well

Had a pretty slow run. Had to Alt f4 in upper sub do to desynch in a pack of champ Merv daughters. Some how did not get mud flats or lower wp so I had the long run from Lion's Eye to get back. Had great gear drop at brutus problem was, it was all lvl 12+. By the time I got to coves I had just lost too much time. Just some feedback, Melee Shadows really need some Aoe Love. I hate having to rush another char through hillock just to get an aoe melee attack. Decided to forgo that mess only to fall way behind with no melee aoe. Managed to rock Whirling blades at lvl 12 like noones business but once again it was too late.

Noooo 2nd Templar, I shouldn't have farmed Ledge as much, lesson learned.

Didn't have any problems with lag, desync, or dc's, seems alot of people did though, something to do with the European gateway maybe???

Found a Regal which I used to roll my Mallet, move speed boots from Brutus, white maul's until Mallet at Coves.



Had alot of fun, when the race ended and I checked the ladder and didnt see any templar's in the top 10, and rank ten being lvl 16, I got real excited, only to have my hopes crushed by ssnodgrass1283 :(

Missed the 1st 10 mins of the race. Anyways I decided to give it a try, didn't even practice for this, picked the witch and started rushing ledge. Finished #145 lvl 12 as FP, FN witch. Nice event btw, i really enjoyed it. Keep it up GGG, you rock.

So there are prizes for top 5 in class? I'm not overly worried about the 9 orbs for 5th in class at all, just wondering since they have been given out I'm guessing thats a no.

Notes:
Got move speed boots off the vendor at level 1. Had extremely lucky drops. But no coral ring until level 7. Hailrake was scary but was done.
Shortest. Upper. Prison. Ever. I literally think it was about 30 seconds.
Now, I farm in Prisoner's Gate. But I was playing extremely safe. I got the +1 Bow Gems short bow which meant my poison arrow was doing huge DPS. I didn't want to die because I thought I had it in the bag. Slowed down by about.... 3 minutes by this.
Onto Caverns. Had every resist type ring. Was an extremely long Caverns of Wrath, then into Caverns of Anger. was doing well, then suddenly, crossing a bridge, blue squids come from behind, and reds are on the other side with a daughter. no choice but to alt+f4. Lost ~3 minutes on this.
Merveil ended up being extremely late. From killing Brutus 10 seconds slower than my Personal Best (which was a 17.78 run) to being 7:11 behind on merveil kill.

Been practicing like at least 6 hours a day for weeks doing tons of research and just learning everything. It paid off for the first 30 minutes. Shame it didn't for the last.
