what build do all these top shadows go for?

All the disconnect and zoning issues seemed to be only EU gateway?

Desync was pretty bad too, getting hit by frost casters in upper prison when their projectiles seemed to be way off, same with charging rhoas in mud flats and ship graveyard :(

Seems like it. I had 4 on Europe (+ a couple of not able to click zone portals) in a 15 minutes span.

The nodes are less important in short races covers the first 15 levels.
Movementspeed critical and the gem choices do the trick.

If the devs remove the PA gem as reward shadows levels will drop.


It would also be more interesting if hillock Drops the first gem. Instead it's best maplayout shadow kills Hillock first.

Average race. Tons of desync and flask failure but none of it quite fatal, though i was under 25% a few times. No disconnects thankfully.

Decent times on brutus/merveil kills but no movement boots until a2 (thanks Mors!) cost me a level or so compared to practice runs with move boots. Other drops were poor aside from an alch that made a decent belt for a2- would have preferred to use it on a weapon but no good targets were available. I hit crossings with a lil under 10 minutes left and grinded there to the finish.

I find 1h races too rng dependant but i suppose thats the main appeal to alot of players. Variety is always good anyway.

Level 15.5, 10th place shadow and 21st overall in the end.

As for the desync, disconnects, flask fails and zone in/out deaths... you guys really going to have all these issues fixed in 2 weeks? Hard to imagine as they appear to have stumped you for well over 6 months now, but ill be thrilled if theres a monster netcode fix patch before or at release. If not, well, as a previous poster in this thread mentioned, its going to be hard to bring back all the ob players who get driven away by the games unreliable foundations. Heres hoping my concerns are unfounded and poe explodes on release.

I had a death at level 6 and didn't prepare at all for this, but still had an amazing time. Due to my busy schedule during the next 6 months, i'm really hoping GGG keeps up these 1 hour long solo races. It's easy to squeeze in an hour here and there, rather than concentrating on one character for the long hall (for now).

Had a good winter break after a grueling semester, thanks a ton GGG! Back to the grind. :(

#1 Ranger was streaming (Nugiyen), but he experienced some crazy mix of bad and good luck so I'm not sure if watching that would be enlightening. #1 Marauder (backbeard) was probably streaming aswell but I am not sure of that. You can most likely find VoDs on their twitch channels if you would wish to.
