Real Talk: Spectral Throw

I'm fine with it being based on attack speed and not cast speed, but really? you won't let it have even a 2 stack (as in after being hit 2 times in rapid succession it'll apply the rule of not being able to be hit within the 0.3 sec gap) shotgun effect? it's such a cool spell and yet I don't know if this spell is even worth keeping around after level 15. With lesser/greater multiple projectiles you cant even stack the blades damage on the first fire, and on the way back. The only time you might get a guy wit with say more than 2 attacks of the flurry is if he's kinda mid ranged and you moved a bit so the the blades hitting him are staggered enough to have a 0.3 sec gap. I REALLY want this skill to be an awesome skill, and right now it just feels like it'll become a wasted slot if I keep it around, which is a shame because I really think it's cool. members of the community please add your own points, and if you disagree PLEASE say so! I'd love to be convinced that this would be a great ability to keep around for my (second) scion, but I'm not feeling it at all.. :'( |

Is this an opposite thread? HC has become Path of Spectral Throw. It's very powerful and borderline OP.

" +1. It's ranged "melee" with an excellent damage multiplier and innate kiting ability. Lightning Strike was bad enough as ranged "melee". The damage on ST could easily come down to 0.5x instead of 0.6x and it would still be a great skill. |

ST is nice until you get to about lvl 80...

Have you tried playing without LMP/GMP if the lack of shotgunning bothers you? Removing Lesser Multiple Projectiles gives you about 43% more damage on your singular projectile and removing Greater Multiple Projectiles gives you 100% more damage on your singular projectile.
In my opinion, the only useful thing about LMP/GMP ST is clearing out humongous packs of enemies, and those appear too infrequently in my play for it to be worth it. Need game info? " It's nice until after you've beaten the game? What's left? And what becomes suddenly better at level 80 in a way that ST doesn't? |

It's OP, what you talking about?

" Your typical cookie cutter builds that has DPS skyrocket to uncharted territory, and incredible clear speed in maps. While ST is great with one of my character since I use but my duelist's Frenzy Facebreaker (with blood dance) is still miles better than ST. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Nov 22, 2013, 3:09:13 AM

ST is OP until you get 5-L items and/or very high crit chance.
So, yes, it's OP for most time of the game (excluding lategame). GGG should rework it, and add nice support gems, that will make it as viable in endgame. Not some shit like faster attacks, added fire dmg or slower projectiles, i mean really good gems, like melee physical damage. For example, why dont implement projectile physical damage support? " You get a 5L or 6L, and have no good gems to put in them. Melee phys not working is a big deal. Because of melee phys not working, you need a lot of damage nodes to scale it. And thus they end up with low HP and other defenses. |
