What Games Are You Playing Currently?
Especially after the 0.6.4 update the game became a lot more of a grind. I only play WoT occasionally anymore because I don't feel like investing 50+ hours just to get some crappy upgrade for my tank.

" For me, it's not as much about hours invested as much as who I play with. That's where game fails miserably - it rewards everyone and for everything. Anyone can reach higher tiers, regardless of how bad he plays. It's just a matter of time invested. I remember one game tier 8+ where guy with tier 10 tank played so badly that whole team screamed on him on chat, which most players hardly ever use. We lost because of him - he was camping in base with the best attack tank in our team, even though like 5 of us with TDs camped there. Later I checked his stats - played like 3.000 games, under 1.000 kills, win ratio 40%, hit ratio 25%, etc. Such a player should never ever be able to go over tier 5, unless he changes gameplay, because his bad gameplay leads to teams losing, nerves and hours wasted. When 5 or more games in a row - around 1 hour of playing - end like mentioned one, it's very hard not to react in some way. My reactions led to both chat and account being banned for 1, than 7, than 14 days, and than I quitted ):o= "I am The Banisher, the ill will that snuffs the final candle." - Seal of Doom (MTG)

" The reason were so excited about PoE is that there are no such games...(; P.S. Well, since I posted anyway - I tried a couple of the games that were mentioned in this topic, namely Alice: Madness Returns and Desktop Dungeons. No, those two really have nothing common as well as little common with PoE/D2. I quite enjoyed Alice...inbetween jumping those endless platforms that is. Already through it, ended with some 15h of gameplay - wasn't really rushing it - switched to the highest difficulty somewhere quarter into the game but that took a little too much of reloading some fights so went back to hard. I never played much action games (pure action, not arpg) so my standarts might not be very high, but I quite liked the combat in the game. Really fast paced and responsive and the moves (as well as graphics as a whole) were beautiful. But they could save me all that jumping around edges and platforms...theres a reason why I'm not into action games like these. As for desktop dungeons: even though thats something thats supposed to take little time I've already dumped many hours in this small (beta) game, currently trying to unlock that 18th character...and its at least 5th time in the row when I only lack 1 more hit for the second boss...oh emotions (= It makes me want to pick up Nethack again and for real, but still dont have enough courage (: In the meantime I'm second month into Atlantica Online, an mmo that really stands out of the crowd, I could only wish it was a sub game instead of a pay to win model. Theres also Withcer 2 waiting, but Its been a while since I got to the first town and put it down...it felt somewhat different from the first game, but I know I'll get used to it (probably the combat felt extremely clumsy after playing through Alice). I'm currently playing a few games my self. Between World of Tanks, Infamous, and the Hellgate Global beta just opened they're all keeping me pretty busy until path of exile is released!

" Speaking of which, how about Brink? Has anyone of you guys tried it? I've heard it has pretty oldschool gameplay and demands some level of cooperation unlike other FFA-like games that rock charts lately (which is good imo :P) and after slow start seems like devs get it going rather smoothly now. True or false? :> btw Am I the only one getting broken quote tags (names of quoted users don't appear at all)? Last edited by ness#1383 on Jul 2, 2011, 8:17:34 PM

Brink has gotten nothing but bad reviews. Everyone I've heard talk about the games says it just doesn't hold you're attention for very long and that the free running system is pretty much useless. Also it doesn't really give you a chance to really work with one specific class because you have to keep switching back and forth depending on what match you're in which isn't necessarily a bad thing but I personally like to find one or two classes i really like and go with them.
