I played some PoE on softcore back just after open beta began. For a couple of days I've been wanting to give it another go, to have a go-to game for when I'm bored, but this time upping the ante by playing hardcore. This build looks pretty fun and is very well explained, so I will probably give it a go, and report back once I get some decent playtime.

I just finished building my mf character based on this build and i'm loving how tanky my character is but I am seriously lacking dps, I will gain some when I get lv20 ek but aside from that does anyone have any suggestions on improving my character?

Only dif so far is instead of going for Templar starting area nodes (i might when i get some more lvls (curently 78)) I ended up going :

IS MIND OVER MATTER RLY WORTH IT ...

I can easily support 1 more aura (Grace)

Not going into the templar area i dont have as much Armor as i need (only around 1.7k (17%) Taking Grace Gets me to 5.7k (40%)

so Mind over matter is taking 3 passive points and might not be the best way to go


Allos want to add ... Not going into Mind Over matter ... allows u do do 1 more thing .... Spend 1-2 of those points into mana regen .. and End up dripping Discipline aswel ... giving u another aura (like haste)

Well, both your wand and shield can get a lot more damage, the belt can roll upto 24 damage, and you can move a few nodes into +Aura Effect or Cast Speed for more DPS, if you feel safe enough and need more clear speed.

To the above, reg MoM. Yes, if you can keep your mana up at all times and have 700+ free (for high-end maps).

Dont just do a stupid counter like that ...

Give me areason why u think Mind Over Matter is better than

-3 Passive points
-an extra 4k armor (3x what i have)
-and the posibility of Running HASTE

I have two questions.

First:
Does the 21% Increasese Physical Damage help EK, or does it just effect the wand's base physical attack damage?


Second:
Is it possible to run 4 Aura's and Arctic Armour?
Clarity, Hatred, Grace, Haste, Arctic Armour?

dmillz did the math for you. Not to mention MoM works against ALL damage, not just Physical. If you wanna run even more Auras, get more Aura nodes, and maybe an Alpha.

There's a reason all 3 main EK guides suggest taking it, mine included. :)

@aamenta: No, the Physical doesn't work on EK, since it's Local, rather than the Global kind you find on a Rustic Sash. Yes, you can run all those, not too hard at end-game, either.
