if he crits ONLY 1 TIME, ONE TIME, in the next 3-4 seconds he casts like 40-60 arcs. He is melting maps, and he is only lvl 70.
But they are objective.
The way they nerfed CwDT is beyond retarded, their main problem was lifeleech with CwDT and molten shell, they could have fixed that by adding a cooldown on the gem, 5 sec. cd would have been enaugh.
Or they could have reversed the damage that u need to take in order for the game to activate, that way it is only viable to high lvl chars.
What they did right now is absolute bullshit. I didnt even used it for Enduring cry/discharge.
Btw with cast on crit, you can activate discharge like 5-10 times/second.
I guess there is no problem that a nuking class is absolute worthless now when u can just activate those skills 10 times/second with a spectral throw build that needs 0 dmg, 0 atk speed.
But there was a problem with Molten Shell on CwDT.
They are very objective man.
No dude this type of crap is a HUGE reason that they nerfed the gem. a level 70 should not be able to do this. That is absolutely trivial gameplay. There is no real thought to that setup, anyone can do it. More-over everyone was using CoDT and that also meant it required a nerf. They removed Phase Run all together from the game.... why? It was uszed by every player in every build. Sound familiar?
this gem was nerfed all around for the enduring cry/molten shell folks as well as the lazy asses that cookie cutter copied crap like this so they didn't have to know, research or really have the play the game with even a modicum of ability.
Now you might have to look at your CoDT gem, look at the skills you want to use with it, research levels and level requirements and actually plan a build to make it successful? BLASPHEMY! If this gem offends you so much stop playing this game and go play an easy to use overpower build in an easier arpg. I think you might be able to handle that. probably not though

Exactly this. I was thinking about why support skills are annoying the other day, and I came to the same conclusion. They should be insta-cast, non-interuptable and castable while moving.

I was talking about how Cast on Crit is broken a lot more than CwDT, and there was no change to it at all.
I play this game cuz it decent, but after RoS comes out, i am done with PoE if they keep this shit up. They have nerfed almost every build that was viable endgame, every time Kripp posted a build that would be able to do ez maps, that build got nerfect, and it's not only Kripp, every good player that had a stream and had a good endgame build was nerfed.
They dont think at all when they are making this changes, they just want to make the game harder without a single taught in it.
You tell me there wasn't any other viable nerf to CwDT?
I will write 3 nerfs that would have been a lot better than this bullshit they call "balance" :
1. They could have made the CwDT gem with 5 seconds cooldown for skills in it, but they should have independent cooldowns, for example : CwDT + MS + Temporal Chains + Devouring Totem, then, when MS activates the actual skill, MS goes on CD for 5 seconds, in the mean time if u get another x amount of dmg, the second skill will proc and it will have a cooldown aswell, and so on.
2. They could have reversed the damage taken amount, going 2000+ hp needed to be taken at lvl 1 and 440 at lvl 20.
3. They could have made the Gem deal 0 damage, that way it can only be used on defensive builds, that would have fixed so many things, while keeping BM builds and tanky builds still alive, you think a BM build or tank build stays alive because MS bursts with Life leech? NO, they stay alive because of the armor they get.
My problem is that this gem became absolutely fucking worthless, while my brother and many others can spam ~10-20 spells/discharges per second with cast on crit, voll's protector, gmp, spectral throw.
What they did its not a nerf to a gem, by nerfing something means you fix the broken part, not break the whole gem.
I am starting to be incredible disappointed in GGG, and they call themselfs gamers.
That gem should take away the pain from casting 120348916389219302 defensive spells before u go in a fight, and just fight, making it FUN.
I started to play Path of Exile again after the live patch only because they added this gems that add fun and diversity to the game. Also i hope you know that "their balance" is absolute shit right? Instead of 1 gem that gets bad with lvling, now it forces you to stop leveling more gems, fucking lold.

Both the builds I had running this gem are still running it. I don't know why many of you can't just adapt and continue to use the gem. Curses and enduring cry will still work but just be a little less optimal. Still worth it for me.

I am not using enduring cry on CwDT, i was using : CwDT, Molten Shell, Elemental Weakness, Devouring Totem.
As you can probably see, they are all High lvl dependent, and i went Vaal Pact on life discharger, just like kripp, i wanted to try something that has decent clear speed. I know that maybe Discharge itself is broken, but all those other skills, kinda helped me, and gave me a boost, they entertain me, it makes the game fun for me to see that i have to cast 1 curse and CwDT casts the other so my mobs always had 2 curses.
All this while broken builds with Cast on Crit, 3x arcs (they dont share cd btw) can melt Piety on merciless in ~ 3.1 seconds, thats normal i guess, but my +10% armor was broken beyond repair.
