Changing balance during season made me quit.

good bye @ OP :)

to me the nerf was necessary - i also used 2x cwdt and as soon as i read the patchnotes yesterday i started to plan what i have to change for my character.

the result was, that i started to level one cwdt gem high enough to support some leveled gems - it's ok that they won't be casted that often, but will actually deal damage (molten shell, skeleton)

the other cwdt is still lvl 1, so i attached it to spells that are usefull even in low levels (enfeeble, enduring cry)

if you can't adapt to changes it's better you leave this game now, cause i doubt it was the last balance change ;)

I can adapt, but i dont want to if GGG doesnt treat me seriously. It takes a lot of effort to make effective build, and right now i have absolutely no guarantee, that they will not nerf it again in next week.

DON'T CHANGE RULES IN MIDDLE OF THE GAME, is it too hard to understand?

Yea using skill like it supposed to be used is "abuse". Very "blizzardish".

Good riddance!

Flood the nerfs for a few months, i think it will better the community. Or so it seems.

ya

hope you enjoy playing a dead game.

You will be the only player on PoE
The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

Yes, wait until "community" has 100 ppl in it. Than shut down servers.
Well, if the consequence is that you two will fly off to whatever, then i think i'll enjoy playing this "dead" game.

When D3 was released, seven of my friends started to play. After a month, six of them, and I, had stopped playing because of the design. Nerfs didn't figure into it.

I do agree that Blizzard, particularly one of the community team's members, displayed a rude attitude. However, I don't see GGG being guilty of that. Chris did explain the matter, and he's not been sarcastic or obnoxious about it. They are not closing threads, something that Blizzard did with an iron fist. There are few game forums that show the level of tolerance offered here.

It is the job of a game designer to make changes when issues become apparent, even if it may upset a good portion of the players. But I am glad that they do have the courage to make these change (regardless of the specifics), because game design should be about balance and vision, not popularity. The only part of this where I feel this could have approached a little better is that there were no "free orbs" or another solution offered to players who used the gem in their setup. But I also understand why that would be a can of worms. Every time they make changes, people would demand on compensation.

I doubt this was an easy decision. While you can't work in this field, or in community work, without developing a thick skin, no one really likes to get bitched at.
