GIVING AWAY 3 KEYS TO THOSE WHO DESERVE IT MOST! (0/3 REMAIN)

Ever since I first got my hands on a copy of Diablo when it first came on I've been hooked on the genre. Since then I've played through every game like it that I could find, great and abysmal titles alike. Just like the first girl you fall in love with, the first Diablo will always have a soft spot in my heart. The same old thing gets boring though, and there just hasn't been a whole lot of innovation in the genre. I was really excited when I first heard of Path of Exile though, as it looks like there is finally a studio that will do more than just copy the same formula and sprinkle in some pretty graphics (Titan Quest I'm looking at you).

Best gaming memory: Staying up late playing D1 on BNET when I was a complete noob and having someone take me into the caves. Now THAT was intense.

Worst gaming memory: The way I felt after staying up 24 hours to run through Dungeon Siege with a friend when it first came out. That game just wouldn't end. ... But when we woke up we kept going in Veteran mode, because damn that was fun!

I can definitely say that I know the genre better than most. I'm not sure if that makes me more "deserving" than anyone else. If so, great! And if not, then congratulations to those who are the most deserving and I'll catch you all in game when I make it in.



A bit off topic, but if anyone has that same feeling of Diablo nostalgia as I do, check out a mod called 'Hellfire in the Dark'. That should hold you over for the time being. Great mod made by some great people ;)

i would really really like a key for this beta as this looks like a great game that i have been looking forward to in a fair while from the shadows.

Well as i am currently busy with work irl i won't make it far on ladder races but as i am 30 years old i know how to test a game, work around the mechanics and report when needed.

This game has gotten me really curious as these forums are getting so spammed, would really love to check out if it's real or just a hype.

I just stumbled on Path of Exile last night. I'm a pretty avid gamer who keeps up on games in development, so I am a bit confused as to how I missed this one. I'm super competitive - watch out all of you HC players!

Currently playing Darkfall, but I'm extremely interested in this game after spending hours last night and today checking it out. I'm especially interested in the Hardcore mode of play. So few games these days offer an HC option!

Ok so here's the deal I've just read through every single word written by every single one of you -- and have narrowed it down to MORE THAN 3... So I'm going to re-read and consider the group that I have selected and I will decide on the 3 that will get the keys. I've picked different types of people, with different view points and arguments, different reason, and people I think deserve a shot at this beta.

And let's clear something else up, I don't care what you think about the method in which I am distributing these keys, or the guidelines in which I am enforcing to do so. The keys were earned by me and I am the one who has chosen to hand them out, and I can give them out to whomever I feel deserves them (to MY standards), not who YOU thinks deserves them more. There are no rules set in place by anyone to tell me what I HAVE to do with my keys, or what I SHOULD do with them -- I could let them sit in this notepad file and never get used. Your opinions are welcomed, but I do not appreciate being attacked or judged negatively by any of you whether it be in this post or via private message.

Three of you can expect a key in your inbox within the next half hour. I'm not going to announce who you are, if you want to brag and boast about it afterward, I don't care. If you think this is all bullshit and that I didn't give them away to anyone, look through all of the posts on this thread in a day or so and you'll see at least 3 people asking for a key that will then say "Beta Member".

Congratulations to those who I choose, and to many of you whom I cannot choose - I am sorry, I truly am grateful to have all of the interest, I only wish I had enough keys to give... Thank you for sharing all of your words with me, it's been a pleasure.

hey MysticFurry i think it would be nice if i have a key cuz that way me and my freind who are interesting on playing this game could join u in that fight. :) its about time my waiting finish.

I would love to test PoE to try and help make it a better game for release. I love to play games and I really am trying my hardest to be apart of the community.
