It's not a bogus excuse. The desync is mostly a problem with specific skills. The reason they don't re-sync on a timer is that it would cause a LOT more problems than it fixes. Character that currently don't "appear" desynced would be bouncing all over the screen. I don't get desync because I know what stuff makes it worse and I avoid them (like cyclone). Technically all characters experience minor desync... some is worse than others. If they were constantly re-syncing you, you'd be literally bouncing all over the screen and a lot more people would complain because the movement wouldn't feel fluid.


I have to hit my macro literally every 2-5 seconds while running maps. Im not supposed to be able to miss my attacks thanks to my passive tree but thanks to desync I only actually hit 30%-40% of the time. I have only experienced this phenomena once or twice on D3 so I'm assuming GGG and Blizzard have completely different opinions on this issue lol never actually had to manually /oos on D3 :-)
