[Nemesis] (HC) BOjangles life/VP/RT/IR/IG magic find ranger

When you do life leech without Vaal Pact, you get the life back over time. (At a rate of 20% of your maximum life per second)

With Vaal Pact, this is instant. You will want to have life leech if you choose this keystone, as it does not grant you any additional leech.

As well, you no longer gain life from life flasks, nor does any life regen apply.

It can be combined with Ghost Reaver, in which case the ES you gain from leech will apply instantly, rather than over time.

I hope that gives a bit of insight into why im not stacking crazy life regen. Since I have iron reflexes I wanted to maximize my armor so I'm trying to incorporate a bit of defense instead of relying on regular dodge/evasion or the decent tank you become after stacking evasion/armor gear with the IR node.

;however, I will be holding off on vaal pact till last. I will refund a few points and pick it up, only if I notice myself having trouble against dbl reflect mobs....Right now even physical doesn't do much to me.

Currently level 60 and farming mervaile with 140 rarity on my ranger. Started a witch who is 37 and a marauder...I will be posting their builds and what I plan on doing with them before too long.

same here im nearing act2 merciless and no reflect mobs so far were any problem for me. however i have set my attacks up with life leech. that is enoughe to keep me alive while constantly firing on reflect mobs (my splitarrow currently shows a tooltip dmg of 800 and my single of 850 didnt find better bow yet :/)

the biggest problem i currently have is mana reg, i have a mana leech gem i am using but without it i will be oom constantly (im lazy when it comes to manapots -.-)

Add me in game and I can help you out with progression or I may have a spare bow lying around.

Yeah stacking a few pieces of mana leech gear isn't the worst, I'm patching another game or I'd check exactly what im at. Ive been doing frenzy with faster attacks, life leech, and blood magic. Which is helping a lot when it comes to mana efficiency. I also run a hybrid and a mana potion with an increased duration roll on it so that one use lasts longer.

I've been trying a split arrow/faster attack/mana leech...its been working okay, but i dont use it much tbh. I kill pacts quick enough that they refill my potions.

rip @ 66 ... god i hate those dogpacks on docks especially when they come as rares -.-

was fun though gonna see if i reroll again on a split arrow ranger or try something else.

Thank you for this guide though its been very helpfull :)

Thanks man, im up to 65 probably 70 before the days out....but I had alot of schoolwork to get done this weekend. I also go my witch to lvl 35 =)

I'm still farming city...mainly cause im running 170 rarity and close to 50 of the resistances...fire is a little higher b/c of gear. I did docks a little bit, but some of those dog packs are mighty rough.

We're you using the spell totem/skele's?

I have a couple more ideas for a ranger, but im working on the lvl 65's challenge.

i thought about using the spelltotem/skellton combo but never pulled through to actually do it (will do so now on my new ranger though)

i rerolled btw a new ranger this time i will be either going a splitarrow crit or la havent fully decided yet. will be using again your build as core with some tweaks depending on what i decide in the end but thats some way ahead still seeing i only manage to ding 26 so far :)

what i know though is i wont be using resolute technique, instead i will save every chance orb i get and use it to get a lionseye
Yeah you will love it so much once you get it...makes fighting champions and annoying blue packs alot simpler. Especially once you get good at stay at max range so mobs wont even chase to you.

Well goodluck my friend, I'm trying to chance myself an andvarius to get my rarity real high.

Let me know how those work leveling up.

i cant even imagine now playing without spelltotem and skeletons, before that it was always like this.

hit with frenzy 3-4 times -> run -> frenzy again 3-4 times -> run it took me so long to solo certain rares/uniques

now i just pop the totem and maybe have to recast it when im really unlucky but else its just stand there on max range and keep on spamming frenzy or split arrow :D

also what i started to like using on ranged blue packs is ranged attack totem with rain of arrows but i will probably only use that until i manage to 5l the thicket bow i got my hands on (or a chest that is worth spending jewelers on ^^)

at this point (currently only 47 things have been going slow since i didnt have much time left to play the past days) i am still unsure if im going to stick with splitarrow / frenzy or lightning arrow / elemental hit. my gut tells me to stick with sa since clearing large packs is just so fast and i nearly always encounter packs with elemental resist on the other hand stuff with reflect is just so easy with a life gained on hit gem you dont even need vaal pact anymore thanks to this gem. so far everything points again into the splitarrow direction.

Hey just wanted you to know that I've been using your idea and so far I'm finding it super easy to execute, going comfortably a couple of levels under level map, still only act2Normal but hey.
Also I started from scratch, 1st time in HC and received a donation of a friend so got bunch of rares, nothing fancy except for a superb leveling bow:
Spoiler

How far do you think that bow will get me?

A rough guide on resis / HP for key fights would be great, also naming the biggest threats along the leveling, think about 1st time Hardcore players like me that will use your guid as THE guide, or if there is any other leveling guide that you'd recommend that'd be great as well :D
Yeah I'm with you there esto, I've been really enjoying the split arrow frenzy combo...I'm sure lightning strike would work just as easily. It would just be more mana intensive. Especially since you need lightning/lmp/chain for a good effect, imo.

Yeah the elemental damage and attack speed must be really good manuel. It will probably get you through your teens, but you should have no problem finding an upgrade. Thank you for the idea and once I update the guide for my 71 ranger ill try to tweak the progression spolier.

for now though, just know that most the time the monsters share the elemental damage throughout the map so just try switching your highest resist for whatever you notice the monsters are doing...aka lightning strike, flame arrows, frost mages or whatever.
