Been playing this since yesterday and it's pretty amazing. Been looking for a spell build for a while since I mostly have only played melee builds the last 3 months.

I have made a version of this for the new skill tree. It starts off as a Templar because scion seemed to take more points for less. it seems harder to get a lot of life with the new tree but i still manage to get the important nodes AND 196% life along with 39% block chance. this version has:

This is the build I'm using at the moment seems to be working pretty good so far. I didn't take Diamond Flesh so if you need the resist you will have to adapt for that. This is my gear.

This build looks super tanky. Ya I was wondering about Saffells also, no block though. I have almost all of the pieces excecpt for that funky Rathpit shield. I would also like to try it as a Templar.
