The issue is how much of a backstab it is... to sit there daily complaining about the community - making suggestions on how to make it better - complaining about lotteries - the list goes on... to then turn around and do the exact same thing that they were complaining about??

That's extremely painful thing to take to be honest. And I think a really good thing is to allow it to breathe and not just stifle it under a rug somewhere. We need to discuss the topic openly and honestly and let our feelings about it out.

It is so not helpful to just lock and block every single thread about it. That is such a cop out. I completely disagree with how GGG is trying to handle this item.

For clarity, a "mistake" is when you make a clearly bad decision and when people point it out, you say "Oh you're right, that's not what I should have done."

When you make a clearly bad decision and people point it out, if your response is "I didn't make a bad decision, leave me alone", that's not a mistake that's being an ass. Or a Republican politician. Which is to say, an ass.

Talking trash is very different to talking about the truth.

What he did is fact, there is evidence of it. The forum is PROOF he took those actions. To suggest mentioning those actions is trash talking someone is totally ludicrous.

Trash talking someone is insulting them, swearing at them, things like that.

Showing the rest of the forums something someone did on the forums is not against the rules in any fucking forum I have ever been on besides this one.

Just think about that, ITS AGAINST THE RULES HERE TO TALK ABOUT ANOTHER FORUM THREAD IF THAT FORUM THREAD SHOWED SOMEONE DOING SOMETHING REALLY BAD.

The issue is that the threads so far have derailed, FAST. The name and shame + harassment in those threads is getting out of control. If I could have locked the reddit thread about it, I would have.
