Banned on the d3 forums.

I was banned long ago

But I was banned under a different name

And I can't say that name here

It could jeopardize my future

Thus, sadly, I cannot post my ban resume

No, I do not spread hate in the name of PoE. Trolling is not really an accurate word for what I was doing.

Advertising would be more accurate. Advertising the many merits of PoE, and the innumerable shortcomings of d3 on the very same forum that I had the fortune to hear about PoE on.

Why do I tell you guys about it? Because I'm bored, this is an off-topic forum for a game I love, and I'm not harming anyone.

If I am doing GGG some kind of disservice by trying to get folks to come check out PoE that was never my intent and I can't any longer anyway.

It doesn't matter if it's trolling or advertising. Blizzard has a set of rules you should adhere to. They D3 forums have a section dedicated to other games, that's where you post about PoE. I don't think the forum mods here would be very happy is you spammed PoE's general discussion with TL2 threads. Also, like I said earlier, you are doing GGG a disservice by making the PoE community looking immature thus turning people away from the game.

+100 you're the winner lol! I agree. I can't stand acti/blizz now; they are an anathema for what they did to World of Warcraft, how they lie to their playerbase and basically treat them like shit. I cancelled my annual sub with them today by raising holy hell with their customer service department. When I pay to play a game (sub), I do so because I enjoy it and it's quality. Now when the devs decide to destroy the game and just make everything crap, I'm sorry but I won't stand for it and throw my money away.

I like the GGG devs - they play the game with you, speak to you like you're people and not down at you, they actually care about the game and providing a great service. Stay small GGG don't turn into another Acti/blizz, EA (i.e., "Kiss of Death"), etc... Never forget the loyal playerbase who loves your game and sustains you....

The Pope quit, a meteor fell on Russia, an

in Arizona, star wars and star trek have the
same director! Who the hell is playing jumanji?
Yeah I really don't care at all about blizzards rules, or breaking them. That is a non issue for me.

If you check the d3 forums, countless posts are made about TL2 and GW2.

I decided to use my small voice and get some PoE exposure in there!

Generally, I refrain from calling someone immature unless I've actually read the content of what they posted. If you did not read his posts on the D3 forums, then you are not qualified to determine whether they were doing our PoE community a disservice or not.

He got banned for "trolling". This does not necessarily mean that his posts were immature and/or innappropriate for the thread that they were in. It only means that Blizzard did not like them. Nowhere was it stated that nateedubs spammed general discussion with his "advertisements". In fact, nowhere does it actually say what subforum he posted in or that he was even making whole threads on the subject. He talks about them deleting his comments. Notice that he did not say deleting his threads. This also does not show whether his comments were random advertisements or if they failed to contribute to the conversation already present in the thread, either of which could be grounds for suggesting that his comments may have been out of line.

The fact of the matter is, you do not know what he said or how he said it. You have made assumptions based on other posts/threads you have read that were written by other people. I know Nate personally and I know he does not "troll" like some unsatisfied adolescent that makes the rest of the internet want to slap them. If Nate added some plugs for PoE on the D3 forums (which we all know he did because he himself has said as much) then I know that he made his posts as tastefully as he could and in alignment with the current tone of whatever topic he was posting in.

I have not read all of his posts before they were deleted, but of the ones I have seen, not a single one of them would make the PoE community look bad.

A. People aren't just disappointed they feel betrayed and angry at what Blizzard has done with the greatest ARPG franchise there is.

B. If Blizzard doesn't moderate their forums correctly then that is on them. Why should I care if they let my advertising of another game go unnoticed? Why should I adhere to any of their rules? I don't give a crap about them or their terrible game. Your assuming that the OP and myself looked immature and I disagree. When I post on the D3 forums I just use my personal opinion and logic. I don't argue with other peoples experiences. I just want those who don't know about POE to have someone tell them about it.

C. I was one of those people trying to like D3 and reading what other people had to say about POE when I knew nothing. So I know what its like being the reader and not just the writer.

I think there's more than a few people here that could say the same thing.
