" I get what you are trying to say, but in some situations a polite and courteously deferential attitude isn't what is warranted. Let's take your restaraunt analogy and make it fit the D3 motif shall we. First off, this restaraunt has to be a long time favorite of yours that has never been equaled in your many years of experience. It closes for several years. New owners and a new chef are hired and a massive public advertisment campaign based on how great the old place was gets you all excited. For however long it takes for the "restaraunt" to open all you hear about is how they are making the old menu better but still of the same style of cusine you loved so much. When it finally opens you are first in a long line of old faithful customers who don't mind paying the $60 cover charge. Right away you notice that the decor has changed considerably, but that's ok because you are there for the food first. You get the menu, and at first glance it looks and sounds promising. You order drinks, and are told right away that the new bartender is kind of slow and not up to snuff so it might take a while, but that's ok with you because you know it will be worth the wait. Then you get the appetizer you ordered. It's ok, not quite what you remember, but it's only the starter so surely it will get better. Then you find a bug in your salad. And not only do you find a bug but everyone else in the restaraunt has found one too. The waiter seems to care and is truly apologetic so you let it go for now. Then, you get the main course and it's barely edible. Slightly burned, but mostly just plain and tasteless. Your waiter then informs you that the chef says you just don't know what good food is and if you liked the old restaraunt you really don't know what good food is. But you still can't beleive that this restaraunt which carries the name of your oldest and best loved eatery can't deliver greatness so you go ahead and order dessert like a fool. What you get is a shit sandwich covered with whip cream so you don't see the joke coming until you take your fist bite. And when you spit it out and express your outrage they tack on a clean up charge to your bill and stand around and mock you for not enjoying the taste of their feces. THIS is why there is so much venom towards D3 and Blizz. They got us to take a bite of a proverbial shit sandwich and made us pay for the privilege. I am here because someone cared enough to "break the all mighty rules" and post on D3 forums about PoE. And man am I greatful to whoever that was. Keep on breaking them rules! |

" I quess u could say that... So if Jay Wilson was the chef at the restaurant, he would add a auction house at the restaurant, where you bid on the food that you want. Then some rockers (bots) would break into the restaurant and buy the food for an insane price. Then he would tell the rockers that they are welcome at any time. Then when the rockers leave, Jay Wilson would be happy that he earned that money, and if the customers have a problem with it he would throw them out instantly. Jay Wilson would also remove all the kinds of popular food that was in the old restaurant, because that food was "incorrect food" and Jay is the only one who knows to to make correct food, and if you think the "incorrect food" was better then you can just GTFO. Also, if someone talks together about another restaurant, he would throw that person out instantly. ... Can someone please continue to write about if D3 was an restaurant? Because this is fucking hilarious and epic. Your post made me laugh for 10 mins straight... |

Even though there were a lot of complaints about the restaurant their desserts were actually popular. They had one dessert that the majority of customers liked a lot and ordered it all of the time, so much so that the restaurant had trouble keeping up with the demand. In order to try to get the customers to order less of it the restaurants chef Bashiok decided to change the dessert so that its not ordered as much. When customers complain about the change Bashiok tells them that he could have changed many of the overly popular desserts but he didn't....aren't you thankful?
