all items where pretty much selffound in my stashtab besides the chest, i didnt want to get another 5l with the right colors (yeah the chest is pretty nice ...)

conclusion, technically you can play the reaver on a very very low budget (without the chest maybe 5-10 ex) however you will have around 5k es (my char is lvl 100 so i got more points to spend on es xD) and you will have troubles leeching enough, i checked with my maingear i leech 10 times as much as with the budget gear xD, how to fix this? maybe get some leech on amulet or just get better pDPS :)

i tried facetanking some monsters on the end of the video, to see how viable it is, in my opinion it sucks (but yeah the build still works), and yes i know a proper CWDT setup would have saves me there, but i didnt bother setting up a full char :)

Thank you atlas, that post was very informative, and while it wouldn't be as good for most people here in this topic, this build on a 30ex budget would still be the strongest char i've had, so i am fine with it.
I am going to give the build a try, although not investing in a bino's right away, since 30ex is all the currency i have and the most i've had so far thanks to an awesome drop a while ago. If i can manage well with it, then i'm going hard on the investment into the character.

And to danisonxtc: from your video, i wouldn't say it sucks, i'd say it was actually fairly good for such a specialized build on that low of a budget without CWDT and Whirling Blades. I can see it farming dominus and lvl 73-74 maps comfortably with proper setup and a little more investment.

Edit: What is really scaring me right now is getting 4 off-colors on the chest. It could take well over 1000-2000 chromes. Perhaps the best approach to a budget build would be to drop ES and make it evasion based using a lightning coil. It isn't as good on a very high budget, but probably safer when low on funds

You can try to use hybrid chest then.

You can also use Concentrated effect (blue gem).

Also to something I read some pages back while I was gone. I take the 2% max resist node (Elemental adaptation)because it is a huge mitigation passive. Here is the simplest explanantion I have found. For something more complicated look on reddit and read it yourself.

Assuming you have 75% res, you're taking 25% damage.

Then, 25% basically = 100% of the damage you're taking.

2% of 100 is 8% of 25.

So when you get an additional 2 max res, you're taking away 8% of the remaining damage.


Add to this a resist flask and you are golden!

Oh, BTW, chance to roll off-colours are tied to stat requirements. Chests like this - (with reduced requirements or base item with low requirements) will have increased chances to roll offcolours, as proved with this chest :)

Been following this guide for a day or so.

My gear is weak, everything I have is geared towards hp based chars but I am making some decent progress.

Havent picked up multistrike yet. just farming act 3 docks waiting for my roommate to get home to quest with him lol

Well guys, guess what. I had this armor lying around in standard and am now able to use it thanks to characters getting transfered:

So i though "fuck it, i'm gonna 5L it in under 10c cost!". Well, and so i did and managed it after 6-7 jews and 3 fuses. Today was a good day, and it was my first self-made 5L ever :)
I know it doesn't have the best ES value, but i hope the armor will help me somehow. It has resists, though, and not bad ones either, and a sexy stun recovery to add to it. Getting the right colors will also be easy.

I just saved a bunch of exalts without doing anything!
Character is lvl 35 now, everything is progressing well and i'm taking the HP path with as much evasion as i can get, until it is time to switch to CI. It will take a while before i can use my gear, but the main problem is that accuracy rating will be rather hard to get. Do you guys know of a few more uniques that provide acc rating without damaging the build too much?
