Summoner What weapon to pick?

Heya.

Currently i have been using

which i REALLY love, because it gives me extra pets.

then i saw the wand, the one that reserver 30% hp, i dont ever think of using this one ( even with that shield )

then i just found this weapon

which would give me this :

-1 zombie
-1 skeleton
-1 spectre ( big deal )

and

+25% mana
+18% minion damage
+16% minion HP

I am not sure :(

Thanks

Your able to use these weapons on switch. Minions are snapshots. This means you can cast your zombie with the chober + Sidhe equiped. They will gain the hp boost, for me its 13k->19300.

You can than unequip the items and the zombies/minions will still retain those stats. You than switch to a defensive gear setup.

Minions can't be changed after you summoned them, have you noticed even if you take a support gem out of a minion nothing will happen to them? They retain only the stats on the instance of revival.

i just tried what you said, the second i had my 9 zombies and 4 spectres up, and equipped / swapped to the mace, i lost my zombie, and my spectre, so its not possible to do, think ill keep the sword over the mace, by far.

Thanks for helping in some way tho ;)

Actually, he's correct. You're the one who is wrong. The reason why your minions vanished is one of two reasons. One of which would be because that unique increases the total number of minions you're able to summon. If only one or two vanished when you unequipped that sword, they did so because you swapped it and your total number of allowed minions diminished. If all of them vanished though, it's because you have the gem for whichever minions you summoned in that sword and you unequipped it. For example, you can have 6L zombies in your chest and then use that sword to summon them, which is the example that Matt is giving you as an option. After summoning the zombies, you can then un-equip the sword and switch to a 1h and shield and the zombies retain the extra life and damage of the Queen's Decree, unless you re summon more of them without first re-equipping it first, then they will not have the bonus of the Queen's Decree. However, if you un-equip any piece of gear that has the gem in it which you used to summon a minion, that minion will poof regardless (which may have been what happened in your case).

Edit to address your original question OP:

Your choice between the Queen's Decree and Chober Chaber should be based on your end goal. Are you planning on using any sort of melee abilities? Do you need more mana? Do you want your minions to deal more damage or survive longer? Would you benefit more from having additional zombies/skeletons/spectres?

I personally am trying to capitalize on Minion Instability and the Queen's Decree is the better choice for that. If you were simply using the weapon to pre-cast zombies/spectres in order for them to survive longer, the Chober Chaber would be the better option though.

I honestly would not recommend doing this (as I have said in previous threads). It is essentially using the same "exploit" that was semi-fixed with auras and uniques in the most recent patch. It will sometime soon be completely fixed, according to the devs at least, and if more and more summoners use this trick and continue to bring attention to it, I imagine it will be fixed as well.
update :

My new weapon. just for the all ress,i guess.

My new shield, more damage (+2gem ) more hp ( +2gem ) better zombies (+2gem)

think this shield is what i should keep, huh?

Auromvorax goes up to 60% to all resistances and is pretty cheap, as far as I'm aware, so I would try to get a better roll on it. The shield is a decent temp, but you would be much better off using one with high es/resistances in the long run. The +2 summons isn't really enough to justify using it and even with Necromantic Aegis, the effect on the shield isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

i still would prefer a different weapon to be totally honest ;(

just using this weapon till i got eldrich battery ( i can grab it, just need to take my hp nodes, as i took everything else first :P )

then once i got that, i can run purity and clarity, then i really am not sure what else to run with it.

Probably going to use Determination aswell, once i got alpha's howl to use ( already got it )

well, if you know a good summoner weapon, let me know ! not the 30%hp reserve wand.dislike it

That is a good summoner weapon, but they're pretty cheap, so you can pick up one with at least 55+% all res for very little. You can dual wield them too for a ton of resistances (enough so that you can focus on wearing rings/amulets with iiq/iir, rather than resistances, which would be ideal considering that you'll be missing out on 40% iir with two of them anyways).
