WED is useless for this build. Umm, I guess you could drop the amulet for something better like attack speed/phys dmg. If you needed the life steal I'm using a Carnage Heart and see no problems with it.

I noticed you're using Reave. Nothing wrong with that, I do like Dual Strike better. I've tried Reave as well. You would get more DPS with Dual Strike + Melee Splash.

You should definately get a phys damage ring with attack speed instead of Le Heup.

Hi Cycloners!

My question is - how the basic weapon range is important for the cyclone attack? Is there anyone with some experience with different weapon ranges and can say something about effectiveness?

Base radius of cyclone for various weapon types is as following:[1]
Two Handed Axe - 7
Rapier - 7
One Handed Sword - 6
Staff - 6
Two Handed Mace - 6
Two Handed Sword - 6
Dagger - 5
One Handed Axe - 5
One Handed Mace - 5
Claw - 5
Sceptre - 5
Unarmed - 4

Ofc offhand will be the Soul Taker (One Handed Axe - 5) so let say if I pick up a Rapier for MH (range 7) my average range will be 6? Is it worthy to use higher range weaps?

Was thinking of trying one on the helm, boots, and gloves. Don't actually need to, but was wandering if anyone has tried it?

I did try lvl 2 empower with cwdt. works great. just got to split your skills between two cwdt.

Increased elemental damage is worth about 40%-45% of what increased physical damage is worth. So, it is not THAT good, but it isn't THAT bad that some people will try to convince you.

Weapon range is very important for cyclone. I play only with rapiers no matter how much better dps a rare sword/axe could be. Uniques are different story though. They offer too much benefit and their small range (Soul taker / bloodseeker are 5, facebreaker is 4) could be swallowed. But always try to have a rapier in the main hand and invest in upgrading cyclone quality asap. Totally worth it.

I mean i can achieve so much more dps with other skills with the same gear. But cyclone seems more effective than the others.

And about the post above, which one is the main hand while you are looking to the computer monitor?

Need advice from you guys, I'm thinking to switch from DS to cyclone, have enough exalted to get a BOR but not sure how do i deal with the mana issue as the author stated cyclone will cost a lot of mana and if blood magic is used life will gone very quickly( never try cyclone with blood magic before so really no idea) and currently i have to rely on the 2% mana leech from ring, 4% life leech from the amulet and warlord's mark to survive. And current items and build i can only turn on hatred aura because if i turn both on i wouldn't even have mana to dualstrike.

Dualstrike with hatred: 21k
Life :4.2k
armor :5k
fire rest.:93
cold rest.:80%
Lightning rest.:75%
Passive tree is same as the author post.

Current Gear:


Please advice on how should i switch from DS to cyclone, the main issue is mana concern and my all resist will dropped to about 60%. Is it good to replace my belt and amulet with Carnage Heart and Meginord's Girdle Heavy Belt? Thanks in advance :)

P/S: I have around 20-25exalted to spend on gears, but it costs 40~50exalted to get a Soul Taker Siege Axe in Domination League
