This. If your interested in a IIR/IIQ summoner build look at Rathik2's. It will be much easier to gain a bigger effective hp pool with es while having IIR/IIQ unique's.

For me personally, I built my summoner around balancing minion's dmg/tank and maximizing character's tankability. I already have a IIR/IIQ totem culler in my party. There is no need for my summoner to cull or equip item find.

you use 3 Red 1 Green and 2 Blue Sockets on your chest but getting 3 Red Sockets on an int items isn't that easy as a beginner do you suggest to go with int/armor?

Hey Rathik, I was just wondering if you could make a step by step passive tree guide for me?, I'm kind of new and I'm really confused where to put my points. I see you made a step by step guide but I'm a little confused, your going to the health nodes instead of the ES nodes in your final build? Right now this is where I have my points, I have 110 refund points so I can always re-do everything if I need to. (really messed up in the beginning i feel like but I was fresh to the game.

Hello. I think you were looking at his Life+EB alternative to this build, but it is a very expensive route to go, honestly. The build he has listed as his current one still goes CI and ES. Yes, you will need to heavily respec your starting area, and a few others here and there as well.

He has health nodes selected here because you are (likely) still not ready for CI by this point, so you need the extra health buffer until you can transition. You only have 57 points, so just decide on three to work towards :p
And, as Rathik even states, those point suggestions are not set in stone. You might need to get more life or resistance depending on your gear. Your main goal is not to die. You will be using life plus some ES.

It took me about 300 chromatics to get this colors.
Armour/es will work, it will just have a lower ES but the benefit of the armour.

You need to level with life then switch to ES when you can get high level armours, e.g vaal regalia at level 68.

Leveling with ES spec will be very hard, unless you have some godly low lever ES gear.

Chaos damage before merciless act3 is not an issue anyway and is only a bit of a problem in the sewers.

Keep an amethyst flask with you and you will be fine.
