Anyone else feel that ranger still not good enough for melee build?

BTW I hate when people confuse rangers for someone using a bow. Those are called archers. If we are to stay in fantasy world, Aragorn was a ranger. In PoE even a girl can do that. Being a ranger is not a weapon choice.

How many caster nodes do you see in marauder tree? How bout melee damage ones in witch tree? Sure you can turn any class into any type of character if you are willing to travel across the entire thing, but the idea of different starting classes is to give them different starting points.

Ranger is the dexterity class. We have pure dexterity melee weapons group (and pure evasion shields). There is no pure strength caster weapon or pure intelligence melee weapon. It seems like skill tree reflects that well. Ranger was always a class to wield bow or one handed melee weapons naturally.

Nice. You're probably older than me, since Power Rangers came on when I was a kid, but I weaned off the tits that was Godzilla from Toho Studios. And anime.

thx, anyway i'm not implying melee ranger is not viable, it's just 2-4 efficient nodes short compare to duelist, which is bad for a min-maxer. while on the other hand, CI melee is almost impossible for ranger.

To all above who thought ranger should not be melee specilist, ranger does have a dedicated melee nodes routine. and i said nothing about ranger should be stronger melee fight compare to duelist/shadow, there is a sapce between worse and better.
