Elemental equilibrium + cold to fire, broken or working as intended?

I you do all 3 elements of damage at once, nothing happens.

GGG, you should update the skill description, we seem to get this question once every week. :)
Edit: Elemental equilibrium inexplicably doesn't work with 3 elements.

it doesn't trigger from 3 elements but still works, if applied before hand is it?

Sugguests to add "Tripple elemental hits don't apply effect" into description, or leave it be for newbies to discover, how good burning arrow with this build.
Lightning arrow bow user with freezing pulse cold>fire to trigger the keystone and elemental weakness for -30%?

Effectively negate lightning arrow resist on any target not stacking huge amounts of resist?
1) How does this work with DOT effects? For example, lets say I use a fire spell with Chance to Ignite support, and manage to ignite the target. Does the burning trigger multiple times, resulting in a huge decrease to Lightning and Cold resists?
2) How does this work with Flame Totem? Flame Totem attacks very fast, but it isn't you, so I imagine it doesn't work at massively reducing enemy Lightning and Cold resists. I'd still like a clarification though.

For one, it doesn't stack :)
To my understanding, Totems will trigger it, Damage over Time will not.

If your understanding is correct, small thunder hits + small cold hits + enemy standing in Righteous Fire area of effect (with no pure Fire damage applied) = extra-effective burning... right?

(A similar trick could be attempted at earlier levels with Molten Shell.)

Burning is not elemental damage so it neither triggers elemental equilibrum, nor subject to resistances. But in most cases burning damage is based on fire damage dealt when effect upplied so you get less burning damage with fire resistances. Fire rain totem is good way to reset EE, if you find deifficult to make 3 elemental attack or spell.

Burning is fire damage, and is resisted by fire resistance. It does not, however, trigger EE, because EE triggers on hitting an enemy, which burning does not do.

So you are saying that if I ran around with Elemental Equilibrium and Righteous Fire and use Freezing Pulses with Added Lightning Damage on everything I get close to, they will roast much faster?
