Main example of knowledge vs skill in this game would be that each boss has a set way of attacking, like Vaal, and having that knowledge can help you avoid getting killed, now, if it was random patterns with over 300 variable attack types, then you would need skill with handeye co-ordination to win (including a number of other factors). There is no such thing as skill in a game with set patterns, the skill that a person has is from knowledge from different games they have played and some from reading. He got caught in it while in a totem laying animation. That's enough without having a large +max resists, add in +damage and vulnerability mods (wreck you on burn) and even with +max then it is deadly. Casually casual.
