I thought about it and consider stormcall a decent choice combined with minions. Minions do okay damage early on, the biggest problem is their survivability, which get's pretty horrible at AOE Heavy encounters.

The thing is: When there are no minions, you are basically constantly running to avoid hits. Keep that in mind!
Long channeling times like flameblast don't supplement this situation as you can't run and cast. I personally just used fireball as it deals both single target and AoE damage, but in retrospect, I'd use stormcall!

There is this easy recipe to get a +1 lightning/fire/cold gem level on weapons (poe wiki is down right now, you might want to check that later), and combined with 3-link you are able to get a pretty powerfull stormcall which should be able to aid you until your minions get to be the real deal, around mid/late cruel.

edit: Oh and don't forget to level all the important minion gems as soon as possible! Minions greatly scale with their minion level gem, it is not just the passive tree.


thanks! .. I am actually switching between Stormcall and fireball, but i do agree that storm seems a little better.
Why do you suggest melee physical damage over minion damage for 4L setups? Is there a multiplier I'm not aware of that makes it give more damage?

Yes. More is multiplicative and Increased is additive. Or, simply put: More > Increased.

IMO, Hatred - Yes and Haste - No.

Your direct damage is pitiful so Hatred provides very little benefit to you, but it's a monster buff to you minions. Might as well make it even stronger. However, Haste provides nice benefits to you and if you're going to run Haste, then you might as well enjoy the movement speed and cast speed.

Generosity with haste is definitely a very strong combo for your minions and the party you're playing with. Generosity is affected by you +aura effectiveness so it kind of double increase your auras if that makes sense.
I feel very squishy with this build. But now I've seen, that OP only uses ES-gear. How does he survive? Only with AA? I'm running IR with Determination (4.4k armor) AND AA. Should i drop IR and get more HP? I have 3.5k now.

I figured since I literally grabbed all the duration stats possible. I would use enduring cry + immortal call. This gives me 6 seconds of physical immunity plenty of time to do what u need to do to kill shit.

I couldn't agree more. CWDT + EC + IC + ID combined with all the +duration passives is extremely powerful and pretty much negates the need for armor or evasion. The invulnerability lasts what feels like an eternity and gives you ample time to pot, reposition, and/or kill.

Foreseeable problems

- Lack of dex, so unless u have dex gear your going to need to limit the lvl of vaal haste and haste. Thankfully hastes don't scale that well with lvls so you'll prob won't see much differnce
- Lack of mana regen? No longer going to use arctic armor so this may or may not still be a problem

Hopefully this build will turn out more favorably in Beyond as far as tankiness goes.
