Goodbye and good luck

I have been unable to get Path of Exile to run on my computer.

As far as I can tell, I need a better graphics card.

I hope that the game is a success, as from everything I hear it sounds good, and you have a good community on the forums.

Best wishes for the future of PoE to GGG and all their players.
Any card better or equal to the 9000 series Nvidia will run the game. (also lower enthusiast cards)

Are you sure that is the problem?

Post your build stats, it might well be with a tweak or two you can get it running.
Those who beat their swords into ploughshares, will plough for those who have not.
When I try to launch the game, I get pop-up windows with the following error messages:

"The D3D device has a non-zero reference count, meaning some objects were not released"

"Failed resetting Direct3D device objects"

"DXUTCreateDevice failed"

its the card and it doesnt look like your running a dual core either. You can get a geforece 550 ti for $100 that will run poe at 117 fps at 1920x1080. Time for an upgrade Id say. It's cheap if you just buy a few pieces etc
The dxdiag is not necessary. Just tell people what it says under system information.
I can't help but wonder why you signed up, and attempted to play. No, it's not even close to being able to play this, or any modern game.
Yeah unfortunately with no real graphics card it really isn't possible to play this game. (or most others)

I also suggest dropping perhaps even $30 for a newer card... even used off CL or something.

A video card would do wonders for your computer.

Get one with low power requirements to avoid power supply issues.

They are common and available for the $30 mentioned earlier.
Try to be the person your dog thinks you are.
Bad luck if you cant play, thats its a awesome game

For about 300 to 400 Euro's you can have a pretty nice system upgrade if you can afford it.

Main board (with sound and network onboard)
Processor (AMD Athlon II X4 640 @ 3.00 ghz)
8gb DDR3 memory (1600mhz)
Power supply (700+ watt if i recall)

And an Radeon HD 5770 should not be too expensive, but runs really great for a low budget card)

The rest you can salvage from your old computer (Case, HD/DVD/CD-Rom drives)

I did this, and am able to play any game up to now at high or max settings at a 1920x1080 resolution)

During summertime, computerparts are cheaper then in the winter though, at least here in the Netherlands.
