You know for a guy who thinks the term whine is an BIG BAD insult you should love to do your fair share of it. lol...

I made an argument and didn't call anyone any names. Please follow suit and we'll have a much better time in this thread.

Items on the ground IMO are earned by everyone in the group. So if one drops with my name and I break away to go get it and another guy stands on the item so I that I can't get it then obviously I would get upset. However in this "hardcore" game I can't harm that player in any way.

Thats the point that I was making, its not in any way realistic or "hardcore".

Nope not at all. The timer was added to please feedback, people now whine the timer isn't fair. The current system is fine for me. Nothing more fun then hearing angry people on chat when "their" loot was stolen because it had their name for a few seconds. FFA-loot is working as intended by GGG which is what my signature says.

So because you enjoy reading other players frustration the system is ‘working as intended’? I hope that GGG has better business sense than that. If your business frustrates customers they will stop using and paying for your service. If you look at the Xfire numbers you can see a steady decline in hours played.

I may be wrong and the Devs may enjoy creating player frustration. They succeeded in creating a system that is infuriating. If you are right and the system is ‘working as intended’; then it is very short sighted business module because frustrated players LEAVE.

For sure... if they feel that their feedback is being ignored. Telling people to put up or shut up is not really the best type of psychology to use.

Video games have become so advanced that we are now in a way part of the iterative process. We tell 'em this feature doesn't work right and then they tweak it, etc etc.

And that's the whole problem, GGG shouldn't have added the timers and name-tags in the first place.

lets do that again
i will do that in the old fashioned way since you guys are either blind or low iq to undestand it

FFA Loot Is the Super Cool looting system ever invented

Chris

Several legitimate problems with free-for-all looting were raised:
- Ranged players are unable to get to the items in time.
- Items might just get scooped up by one player with substantially lower latency than the other players.

let me write it down really slow so EVERYONE get it

FFA

system

brought

the

timers

not

the

other

way

around

implying that TIMERS is the problem well....is like you ACCEPT that the problem is much deeper since if the workaround of your problem is actually making worst you HAVE to change it...

stop saying that the timers are the worst thing in the ffa....it just make you look low iq (at least)..

rest my case

Hey. No need for that kinda talk bro. Timers are the worst thing. Because of the timers and names people are thinking that loot is theirs and anyone who takes 'their' loot is a ninja. However, FFA is a problem in the sense that not everyone is happy with only have FFA as a looting option. Forced looting options is a problem for those that do not like FFA, and timers are an issue for those that want strictly FFA.

Don't insult others you disagree with; just say that you disagree with them.

Yup that's something i agree on. Over a year of feedback from either point of view and nothing in return. They comment on a lot of things, not always to the satisfaction of the customer, but not this one point. I can get it that they won't chime into this thread but it would be nice to something about the current-lootsystem by Chris.
