5 minutes loading time, you can try to fix it

so we yet again got the wonderfull performance package of loading into town for 5 mintues, i loaded into town 5 times and every time it took me 5 minutes, yesterday it was less than a minute.
If youwant to try to fix it, clear the whole "minimap" folder in path of exile under %appdata%
Now i load in less than a minute again, try if it works for you

I'm going to start calling these issues "PoE2 optimization", because loading anywhere in that game takes forever, and now it's bleeding over into PoE1.

agreed, loading times are pretty bad.

This is the worst it's ever been. 3-5 minutes of loading every time i enter a town, even if i just came from that town 10 seconds ago. Not enjoying this at all. Please GGG, fix this asap.

I was having 5-10 min loading times on the 1st day. I restarted my laptop and that helped. Woke up the next day and was again experiencing consistent 10 min loading times when tping to town. Loading into the campaign zones were better at 2-3 min load times. On the 2nd day, resetting my laptop did not help at all. It is completely destroying any fun in playing the game. I will try to clear that above mentioned file to see if it helps. Nvm, tried to search for this file and I cannot find it...no help for me, sad face.

Update Nov. 5: Changed all my graphics settings to the lowest settings, this fixed the loading in problem. Previous settings worked fine for PoE 3.26 and for PoE 2 0.3. I did change to Win 11 before starting 3.27. I think Windows 11 is the problem.

i got an ssd so i didn't have to deal with this, why am i dealing with it lol.

We need to be able to disable MTX in town, I'm sorry.

I know they monetize them, but they should be a way to show off for yourself or for your friends.

Taking 2 min to load into town is getting ridiculous.

I've timed them. all my loading screens to town are between 2m45 and 4m05. Its ridiculous.

From town to other area's: 20 sec max

Yep, ridiculously long loading screens when my game is on an SSD. That and Shader bar constantly being full and re-loading things that the game should have already loaded.


Optimize your game please, not playing until this mess is fixed.

They will never fix this. It has to do with loading all the stupid MTX. The players like showing off their ridiculous looks and music gobs, and this is where GGG makes their money. Hence, it will never be fixed the way it should - allow us to not show other players in town. problem solved.
