Dragon's Immortal Tank (Updated for 1.2)

Hello guys Disko here,this is my first character and I play in onslaught I'm now 76 but I still struggle to improve my dps.
If someone could spend like 5 minutes to help me this would be wonderful :).

I guess my defense is enough to start low lvl map but I could be wrong too.

If this isn't the place for a question like this let me know, I figured asking here would be better than making a new thread since it's related to this build. I haven't played in a while so idk if this is an outdated question.

I've been thinking recently of dropping IR and the 3 life nodes just above it to free up 10 skill points, I haven't yet because I'm wondering if melee is too squishy with less than 2k armor.

Right now with IR and auras I have 5k armor and 3.3k life with AegisA(maxed res obviously).

If I drop IR I have about 900 eva from gear/dex bonus which would go to waste because of Unwavering.
If I drop IR I would have about 1700 armor from gear + determination. In the future if I drop IR I would probably drop determination for purity and drop resists for something else on gear.

I am ignoring the life I would lose from this change because the excess points would go somewhere else boosting tankiness through life, ES, or both.

If I drop IR will I see a noticeable difference in dmg taken from melee? I don't feel in danger at all right now with 5k armor and 4 endurance charges.
I'm wondering if anyone else has tried something similar and knows how dropping down to 1.7k-2kish armor will function or if I should just use a regret and find test out myself.


edit: fuck it I'm just gonna regret those 10 points since I figure the only hits I will have trouble against are big ones, which armor won't help much against.

edit2: I shoulda done this much earlier lol... still sitting at 2.9k armor and I gained 1.4k dps, lost 300 hp and gained 250 ES.

What about adding Blood rage for some extra dps?

Disco: Get a rustic sash instead of the heavy belt. As far as gems, if you can get either life or mana leech on some nice rings you can use a melee physical gem instead of blood or life leech gem.

I did try to drop Iron Reflexes, my armour dropped from 38 500 -> 22 300, which is not good, not good at all.

That means, instead of refreshing 1547 ES per block, it would be only 892, which is barely half of my overall ES. And dropping IR gives evasion rating, which again means not blocking, and that equals not refreshing ES, another very bad thing.

It depends on your gear and skill tree. Not eveyone will be the same. Are you using IR + grace + determination yet? How much %armor you got in tree?

There's not even a single % armor / evasion node in your tree ...
