you know you aren't going to get 100ex for this so why haven't you sold the bow yet. and no ones going to mirror this cuase lioneyes is a way better bow and its worth less than a mirror. at least everyone would get a good laugh out of it if you sold it to that scrub lol

I do agree with you on certain points, especially the part on selling the said bow for the current offer.

I'm not sure if the myth about ROA being unable to miss even without Resolute Technique is true, but assuming this buyer was a LA Ranger, then he might regret buying this Hybrid Bow which seems to be giving more DPS then a well-rolled Lioneye's on paper, but in actual fact is not.

A well-rolled Lioneye's Glare has by far been BIS for many ranger builds, be it LA/ROA. This is also partially because of the quiver Blackgleam, Cured Quiver which converts Physical Damage to Fire Damage.

However, if the buyer of this bow is actually using a very well-rolled Yellow quiver with Ele DMG, IAS, Crit Chance & Multiplier, then this yellow bow might actually outdps a well-rolled Lioneye's Glare by quite a bit.

The reason lionseye is not BIS for some builds is exactly because it has to use blackgleam in order to achieve any reasonable amount of damage output through elemental conversion

Blackgleams converts 50% physical into fire and provides 10 ias. Whats missing? essentially 2 suffixes for resistances and one suffix for life. Lets assume you get 30 chaos and 45 resist and 99 life. How many passives does this translate into ? 1 for 45 resists 2 for 99 life and to be generous lets just say one for 30 chaos resist. Again ignoring one additional prefix (36 wed or 2-28 light). Now what can be done with 3 passives? 3*8% life nodes, 3*3ias nodes , the amazing dps nodes near duelist start, and lavalash for those going pure glass.

Simply put, the dps gain from iron grip, blackgleams and having 100% hit without RT is outweighed by the effective dps loss from the passive points and equipment affixes you have to give up. Even if you managed to build it in a way so that it trumps the dps of a high ele thicket you will still likely end up with less health in the end so at best, a draw. The above scenario is done using the 6-7 aura + BM gem variant of LA bow user though i imagine the standard 3 aura BM passive might yield different results.

Character building revolves around maximizing all 6 affixes in way that allows an ideal balance survivability (elemental resists, chaos resists, life, move speed, leech, armor) and damage output in conjunction with passives to achieve the highest possible balance of survivability and damage output. This is the reason why every additional good affix after the 4th exponentially raises the value of an item, with the 6th likely quadriples the base cost of a well rolled 4 affix rare.

I digress, people are being somewhat cruel to this seller. Regardless of his intentions and credibility he has managed to craft the highest dps bow on the server and while he will likely never get his 100 ex b/o and its questionable if he did in fact actually spend 100 ex making it - it does not hurt anyone but himself to list it as such and to be fair, another individual tried to sell a lower dps abliet ele based bow for 150 exalts! :

In summary, a high DPS lionseye bow will be BiS for most most builds but will be marginally worse than a build perfectly optimized and based around a high ele thicket and a quality rare quiver.

If anyone has done experimentation with both variants (access to a 320 + dps ele thicket and a 320+ dps lions) please let me know.
