In most ARPG, such as Diablo 2 (and even D3 to be perfectly honest)...The best of the best items demand an enormous premium, and could sell at that premium.

Often 10x as much as an item that is 90% as good.

In Path of Exile...Nobody will pay for anything good. People hoard exalts like crazy and will not commit to a large purchase except for......Kaoms, Shavronnes, and a few other uniques...The rest, nobody will pony up for. Least of all rares.

So yeah, it does say something sad about the state of the game that people will not pay for the godly items.

Sad community. Sad state of the game. Sad overall.

Theres a reason people are willing to pay for certain items, because they perceive them as superior to the competition.

That's because those of us who have been here long before the game went "open" know for a fact that the best rares on the market today could be useless by next patch. Their are hundreds of disclaimers all over this website that this game is still in beta and a work in progress. Just a couple months ago their was no level 77 maps or items that could roll the best mods.

You won't see most of us "hoarders" throwing away our hard earned currencies on items that will without a doubt be devalued as soon as act 4 is released with a brand new teir(s) of equipment. I'm waiting for the release, which is only a few months away now. Most of us are. Then, we can finally start dumping money on gear without worrying about it being devalued.

This is an absolutely beautiful bow, probably one of the handful of items someone might actually consider spending 50 exalts on. But me personally, I'm patient enough to wait.

Yea.. havent visited the game for couple weeks or so. As crafter im interested of that new currency item. How rare is it? Not worth it?
