I came here from Diablo 3!!! [Please post here if you did as well!]

I came from D3 aswell and have no intention of going back. This game has everything I hoped for in D3. I know I can gladly pay over $60 in micro transactions on this game and enjoy the heck out of it. D3 was the worst $50 i've ever spent on a game.

I am currently selling all of my gear on my WD and all of the money I make i'm dropping on this game.

Hello people. I heard about this from the D3 forums as well. I have to say chaos does breed opportunity since there are quite a bit of people playing this that were fed up with Diablo 3. I was planning on Waiting till the open beta released but I don't think thats going to happen. Going to have to pick this up tonight I think.
I'm here from Diablo 3
and wont leave till i have played this!
Gimme a key :O
"In Soviet Russia game plays you"
Me n' my GF play, all erry day. :D
Sadly, Diablo 3 is NOT the worst money i've ever spent on a game; that honor belongs to SPORE and spore alone. Spore was so disappointing it makes D3 look like The Empire Strikes Back. The only difference is, Spore was touted as something completely new and radical, whereas D3 was expected to recapture and improve upon the time tested Diablo formula. So, in some ways D3 is more offensive, but it is vastly superior to Spore.

I also remember feeling supremely disappointed after buying and playing through Hellgate: London, but rather than a sense of betrayal it was more of an acknowledgement of misguided game design. Torchlight, for all the positive talk about it, made me feel like I had flushed a fresh $20 down the toilet.

Only Diablo 3 had so much to live up to, and failed so miserably in doing so.
Wow PoE is a really promising game. I too came from D3 after realizing I wasn't happy with it.

We're going to play both for a bit but I went ahead and bought a couple of keys to PoE.

Keep up the good work, game is so what I was looking for. PoE lacks some polish but obviously someone knows wtf they're doing -- great job GGG. Blizzards fubar (perhaps it is somewhat temporary as they will improve D3 in the coming months?? I can/do hope) ends up GGG's boon cause obviously it's causing an influx of players =D
I came here again because of a D3 forum post ....

It's funny how you play a game without realising you are not having fun?

I had or have so much stuff in D3 and yet after two days in game here it means nothing to me ...

The attitude here is such a breath of fresh air and finally I am having fun all be it still face palming when I stuff up and lose XP gggrrr
hey guys,

a friend of mine told me about this game and so i had to take a look.
i think diablo 3 is not that big of a disappointment like everyone says but still, you can see how they try to make money with the real-money auction house and thats what is driving me away.
i think the biggest problem is that you can't outlevel the mobs anmymore like as it was in d2. you could still have some success when you just played a few hours a week and managed to get to lvl 99. in d3 you don't have that anymore and so you have to either farm for countless hours or you pay for gear.

What i wanted to ask you is if it's worth it to invest money in this game. I know 10 dollars are not so much but i can't affor to waste it either.
What do you guys say?

greetings

If you're willing to dish out $40-$50+ for D3, then yes, absolutely. Would rather have given that cash to GGG, actually. Been playing Bliz games since '95 (WC1, D1, etc, no WoW, though). After the D3 let down, the bnet forums eventually lead me to check out a few PoE videos and browse the PoE forums. After reading and re-reading all the static content on the site, I eventually pitched in the $25 for my very own Kiwi Pet. Now, just as Karasuman66 mentioned, I'm hooked, and it's still just a closed beta, not even a finished product, yet.

PoE has a lot of dark, gritty, and just haunting/scary moments throughout the gameplay. Really brought me back to those former games; the evil, the darkness, the sounds, creatures, etc. After hitting level 45 or so with my Ranger and putting on a set of head-phones for the first time, I decided to go gold. Yep, was the sound of the environment, the guts, the death, and the unknown that ultimately pushed me over the edge -- f-ing creepy, it's awesome.

Also, the amount of control/flexibility in PoE is just rad. The gems, the passive skills, etc. That other game didn't really feel like a game at all after a while, most of the cool/important decisions regarding the gameplay experience were being made for me! Dunno 'bout you, but I advocate choice and freedom, and so does PoE for the most part.

Only wish I found out about PoE sooner, definitely worth the $10 or whatever the minimum amount is. Hope that answered your question.
