How To Dunk Like Jordan! (Physical CI Melee for Dummies!)(Ridiculous Survivability and Damage)
" I have no clue what to do while leveling to 70. I did not get time to test during 1 month race, nor do I have time currently. Games are on the backburner for me right now, as I need to focus on Final Exams. Ign: TheMidgetCow (Level 88.8 CI Leapslam Templar --- Default)

" Just follow the path. Get Resolute Technique first and those nodes down there too. After that head down to get IR and Unwavering stance. Get a few life nodes if you want, you can respec later. Depending on gear, you can switch to CI at around level 60. Just make you get GR before you do. |

Had to login and say how much i like this build :) Leap Slam is like the most fun and optimal skill to me, seeing how i always like to jump in games. Haha.
At first i tried to make an 2h Axe build (since i have a decent, but not very good Axe), but the location of the 2h Mace nodes seem a lot better to make a good build :(. I haven't switched to CI yet, but am lvl 63 already. Will have to make the switch soon. Died a lot of times, as i went to Act3 Cruel with just 900 HP and 700 ES. But it worked really fine except against VERY hard hitters and Chaos enemies for obvious reasons (specially cuz i have Ghost Reaper already). Have a Carnage Heart already and lots of armour, so my low Life/ES didn't matter that much. I didn't care about the death's either, since i mostly advanced to get the skill points faster to make the CI switch earlier and to have the best farming places available. edit: Although i must say it's possible i will play a Life based build after the patch. This build has a LOT of 10-attribute-points. So depending on how much Life nodes you need i could imagine a Life build with more points available for higher damage. Though thinking about it you might just cut a few ES nodes in this build as well to get more dmg. Ah well, all speculation so far. :) Last edited by TheError#6547 on Jun 1, 2013, 2:48:01 AM

Hey there, I played your build on the 1 Month Race, but died before I switched to CI on a phys reflect pack. It was mad fun though and I want to reroll after the melee buff in 0.11. Do you plan to rework your guide after the patch?

Just stick around and I'm sure we'll be theory crafting this build again. I've switched to a leap slam/flicker strike build. (12k leap/17k flicker)
The nerfs really shouldn't effect us, rather only make us greater. IGN: Chaotic_Leaper

" I am actually getting back into the game with the incoming patch, and may be switching to the dreaded wander, because my current gear is lacking, and I am very low on currency. However. I may be acquiring an insane 5L chest off a buddy, if I do, and the nerfs/buffs aren't too bad, I will probably stick with this build, as it is WAY more fun then any other build in the game. Also, I am heavily considering switching to flicker. My school lets out in 2 Weeks or so, and after that all I have is time (and a summer job so I can get money for microtransactions, duh), and I will be able to COMPLETELY revamp this guide, and possibly setup an entire leveling section, differentials of the build, and I am going to attempt to work on an IIQ IIR version. " Definately try out a flicker/leap slam build, reason being is because now I only use leap slam to engage to get a frenzy stack or so (5) I now need to update my belt for the 40% phys damage one IGN: Chaotic_Leaper

Hello midnight.
Grats on this great guide and your overall help to all people in this thread. I had a 48 level witch and was trying to go CI but thanks to the recent respec I'm going to give your build a try.Man do I hate casters! So since the witch has the 18% and 10% ES nodes at the beginning I think I'll be ok concerning my survivability. Here's what I'm thinking of doing. As for gems and supports the ones you got and adding some added fire damage when I've got the links. Also YAY for Blood Rage fix!I've got a quality one waiting for me. To crit or not to crit ?

HOLY SHIT!
The patch ended up buffing the build by a HUGE amount of damage and survivability! This build's time to shine is now :) The tree needs 0 changes, and I can solo nearly anything... except for maps with pre-patch reflect values, due to the changes to Inner Force. Sadly, this nerfed my leech amount down to a respectable 20% :/ But, good news! I am done with my finals at the end of next week, and will immediately begin on the full rework of the guide I have been promising :) A lot of friends/mapmates want me to do it ASAP, so I am trying guys, really! IRL is tough when you have Physics/Calc/Chem/ETC. finals! Anyway, happy to say I managed to start crafting up again, and made some kickass gloves that I sold for a few exalts in order to fund some gear upgrades, I'll fill you all in on the details later, but at the moment I am trying to get a few specific Uniques and Rares to fill out the build completely, and show its true potential. EDIT: Also, that witch build looks solid at first glance, except takeout the nodes (starting with the life ones) in the templar starting area, and use those to pick up Inner Force, as it is quite strong still, and provides a lot of life leech, armor, and other stats.
