I tried omni build for the first time...why is not item not mirror tier rarity?
" Again I agree with all of this. I would rather have natural upgrades drop in Tier 1 maps, then Tier 3, then TIer 5, then 7, and so on. Instead, your best item in T11 maps might be item level 32 if it has the right mix of stats. (speaking from experience) RNG is more powerful in this game than natural progression. Because a random mix of the right stats is FAR more powerful than a high ilvl drop. I think everyone would agree a rare with ilvl 32 with the right 6 stats is better than an ilvl 100 drop with maybe only 2 to 3 good stats. (if you doubt this, I can link from trade ) But what if GGG could fix this? Currently, an item level 85 rare piece that drops randomly is almost 100% trash. It is about 99.9% trash, with 1 in 1000 being worth checking (made up numbers, but do you disagree broadly?) Add in determinism, you could through some mechanic (like passive tree or atlas tree) push towards gear stats you want to drop (this is not a complicated idea), but gear is limited by ilevel. Instead of gear being all over the place, your ilevel 50 drops would be usually better than ilvl 30. Your ilvl 70 drops are usually better than 50, etc. That would be a much better way to make people upgrade many times, have a consistent gear progression, feel like they are building a character not pulling a slot machine. Please, tell me what is the counter argument? Pure RNG trash is better? We should be spamming chaos and exalts? Uhg. RNG is not the answer to continual progression and improvement. Some form of feeling excited for drops is great, but the current lotto system is more RNG than progression, instead of consistent progression with an element of RNG, we are absolute RNG with a mild progression more due to massive amount of trash dropping at higher levels than the gear being better (again proven by the fact its better to get ilvl 32 with right stats than ilvl 100 with 6 bad stats). RNG rules this game. This is why one league feels good and another feels trash (as someone dropping a mirror might appreciate). Last edited by trixxar#2360 on Jun 4, 2022, 4:13:04 AM

" I don't know. I've been advocating for more deterministic farming plenty of times in here. We could even kill two birds in one stone here; combine deterministic farming with making map bosses useful. Boss X on the atlas has a higher chance of dropping certain items with certain mods? I don't know why, but I do not like the typical "smart drop system", where drops are defined based on what type of character you play. But I love player agency, where our choices and knowledge matters. What I don't like about deterministic CRAFTING, is that it removes more or less every aspect of looting. But it's hard to do anything, before they can find a way to make gem scaling skills and weapon scaling skills more equal when it comes to scaling. For spells, you can do ONE vendor recipe early on, and that weapon can - in terms of damage - carry you far into maps. Weapons, on the other hand, well - I don't think I have to bring any arguments here. Anyhow, I think we're derailing this thread. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. " well i invested 100ex more into char, got it to lvl98 and 100k armor/evasion, i`m running 7 auras with 120%incr aura effect(wrath and anger are lvl23) and im still dealing "only" 12mil dps, so i guess you forum gurus know better how to get 55mil dps and omni mirror worthy. |

" Invest that 100ex into dmg, not defenses and you will reach 100M. You dont need defenses if everything dies before it can touch you. I have 17M DPS on my ~15ex Perforate Slayer. |

12mil dps is enough to zzz through everything anyway though, why do you want more?
I'd take 12m on a real character over 55 on a glass cannon anyday, you won't be able to tell the difference between those dps values aside from a handful of fights, probably less even. Last edited by Draegnarrr#2823 on Jun 5, 2022, 4:14:58 PM

" char scales dps through evasion/armor and perseverance belt, so you cant just drop defences... by your logic i can slap a mageblood and make any build work, however this char uses that specific belt and without it makes no sense to stack armor/evasion. also you`re comparing a 2 hand char dps to one hander. the idea of having a shield is obv having better defences. im doing harvest/essense/ritual/delirium and managed to get 20% into lvl99. even if you play 2hander, getting no defence means you`re either stuck at lvl93-95 or doing chayla/5way. If you put everything into defense there is no point in using omni, because you wont be able to use its full potential.
Using omni on build like that is like using mageblood on build with 5 unique flasks. Last edited by Aynix#7757 on Jun 5, 2022, 6:55:07 PM

" Huh? I don't see the logic in this statement. Using Omni to have respectable dps while being incredibly tanky is a very good use of the amulet in my opinion. There are very few ways to be as tanky as that while still doing 12 million dps. |

" but im not glass cannon on 55mil dps i got 70k armour 70k evasion 100% spell suppresion 100% ailment avoid ands molten shell and champ ascendy i dont die ever i pick every altar on the map and each altar increase 25% globa dmg taken and on top of the altar damage mods itself i do double or triple dmg map mods and again i dont die ever wich is why i made this thread to begin with to say how overpowered is omni that i can have this level of defenses and still dish out 55 milion dps against pincacle bosses and you can easily tell difference between 12 mil or 55mil boss dps Last edited by Deviant#8289 on Jun 5, 2022, 7:58:18 PM
