trade's dead also.

league's dead.

to be expected being one of the most garbage leagues ever made.

(am keepin it alive somewhat.)

It depends on what you're trading I suppose. I've probably done 25+ trades this morning, with the highest being 9ex and the smallest being 2C.
Thanks for all the fish!

What method you using? I tried something new this league with the new atlas and was quite happy with it. I think it will be my new way to do level 100 -- screw rotas :)

I’m going to be blunt: Specifically Elden Ring has absorbed a lot of common forum mainstays including me, because without a wiki, the game takes dedication and is a far more modern and far more adaptive and more realistic game.

It’s also one of the first games I’ve seen since about 2006 that can be played offline. (I explicitly play it offline because for some reason Steam deployed Easy Anti-cheat which drastically overworks your GPU)

Once people have their play throughs and game pluses, some will come back here.

The other games have already lost their poe base, more or less, but Elden Ring is a masterpiece.

Since they keep wanna make this game more and more gamble/chaos spam oriented, and since you're sayin the game's good -- i'd encourage everyone to try also (ive never even looked at it). anything's better than poe at the moment. they couldn't even bother making archnem less annoying. they are probably busy making act3 harder right now (giggles...). who needs common sense right?

I personally am playin non-poe atm.

Honestly I have no problems with GGG making Act 3 or whatever harder or even completely reworking the AI to make it more interactive than just "skill shot and nuke" power grinding. If 1 mob offered 10 times the challenge and Xp but there were fewer mobs, this game would be arguably better.

The problem lies in the fact that this mass mob situation with mobs weaker than a bowl of Oatmeal on the grind.... is what we're USED to. There will always be backlash against changes that result in disruption of any norm.

No. My problem with POE is that most builds get punished harshly just because of their XP loss vs item progression needs harshly, and the fact that most build realities have entirely different setups for Bosses vs mass mob clearing. As a result, players get comfortable running things like CWC with Spell Cascade or various other supports that create very good screen clear, but then the player will not realize that more challenging content needs to get rid of those -30% damage mods and replace them with more direct damage, which also means that you have to aim.

GGG has also become a game of "which defense works best while somehow having extreme offense," while this equation usually heavily flies in the face of limited skill points. (If you're an int stacker with Frenzy/Power Charges, you at best are going to have 40% suppression/block/Spell Block without Glancing blows, and it's really hard to cap all resists because the best stacking items have no resistances.

There's also the fact that the game caps resistances unless you allocate specific items/skill points/auras to combat it, while obviously making other auras and point allocations more attractive, and often in conflict.

For example, outside of using a Brass Dome, and Purity Auras, it's very hard to deal with both resistances and have enough Armour to really mitigate any significant late game damage. You might get armour tanky, but then get destroyed by ele 1 shots, unless you're somehow also leeching off 10 mil dps hits. You might get resists, but then get 1 shot by a blue mob for having only 4000 Armour because you're some ES build or Life/ES hybrid and the blue mob does good Physical damage.

At some point the grind also just becomes about farming, not completion.

When most people like to customize but the cost of customization is losing progression, the game just becomes unfun at times.
I half put together some different off-meta builds to try them out recently and trade was BRUTAL. Had to pay 5x poe.ninja prices just to get replies. That was the signal for me that league was over. Just have to wait for the next wave.

I assume it´s because there´s barely any use for the forums anymore. Every somewhat useful debate gets moderated with deleted posts, most other discussions are either too pro- or too contra-PoE / GGG in general to be useful at all so the only areas that are in fact useful are the guide-forums. I for one am way less active in general discussion than I used to be due to the aforementioned reasons.

I still have trades (i leave poe on while i sleep). It used to be 20-40 messages while i sleep, now its just a few.

That's my benchmark.

I don't do any trades below 30-40c for some time now.

I don't have issues with them making acts twice as hard. I'm only trying to ask myself: WHAT IS THE POINT? One way or another, people who always progress in this game are going to finish the acts. Streamers are always faster and always make money. The problem is, they are wasting resources and time on acts when they could be fixing many other things. In fact, when you make acts harder, the experienced player will cope. The new player who doesn't even know what resists are will suffer miserably. So why waste resources here?

Why aren't they instead fixing obvious issues like screwed up text that's been there for leagues?

In every game, when you try to push things far, you're going to have to find a means to do as much dmg as possible or be as tanky as possible, preferably both. There's nothing unsurprising or wrong with that.

Being able to be as fast as possible, yet unkillable, with zzdps, very mobile, can boss, can map, easy to play. What's wrong with that? This isn't just a poe thing at all.

I can't talk about the league, but on STD, I found this patch to be too "cold". Simulacrums, divines, maven writ, scarabs, have become extremely common, or unprofitable. Compared to 3.16, this is a bit off-putting...

Honestly I didn't like the new tree, I used to change farms constantly, so I just changed regions, because I had all the watchstones, today, if I want to change my strategy, I have to spend a lot of unmakings...
