Does anyone actually enjoy the harvest crafting mechanic?

The real problem is the huge chokin bottleneck that is storing crafts. Even with the decimated pick of crafts we get now, and the RNG pass they fall through, you're still stuck scrambling with 10 slots and however many map portals.

It can stop your mapping for literal hours while you list/find buyers for expensive crafts, prep bases for others you intend to use yourself.

Putting Oshabi in a tradable cutting was the right move, but then disappearing the t4 monsters into a wormhole of RNG was execrable. I've done a month of harvests with all my atlas primed for them and gotten 0 bigbois and 0 extra slots.

This is all intentional. They could have given us 20 slots, or left the garden a separate private instance like Tane's lab, to facilitate working with harvest. Heck they could have done these things and turn around and SELL the remaining 10 horticrafting slots as a stash tab for 20 bux and ppl would still rather do that, than spend an hour trying to dispo t2 and t3 crafts through TFT.

Frankly I'd rather even have the old garden with the seeds and hoses and shit that is fully itemized, than this bottleneck nonsense.

I don't like most of the crafting shit they add, just stick it in the bench and add a way to discover it.

If a new league comes out and they make any sort of "big deal" about the new crafting system that is coming with it i tend to avoid it.

After the nerfs, I find it super fun to find in ssf, I always get excited. Its well balanced.
The way we engage with crafting legitimately sucks the biggest, stinkiest, and hairy donkey balls.

When they changed harvest, they should have just let us add mods to maps that spawn harvest packs in the map which drop seeds, and let us use the seeds in the horticrafter to reveal a random set of crafting options like veiled which can be stored or used or lost if you use a new seed.

It would have improved the mechanic and let even casuals have better engagement, and made GGG TRADE(TM) interact with harvest a lot better.

Currently I only go into harvest at the end of map sometimes or if i lose all my timers somewhere near the harvest portal. Its barely worth the time even though it is still so strong.
I quite enjoy harvest.

Sure, zooming around at 9000 miles per hour is fun, but also making decisions about crafting and the different item types you want to craft is also fun.

If your sole goal in PoE was to mindlessly zoom around murdering mobs, then you can just ignore harvest.

There's not very much chaos per hour in there unless you have your atlas well set up and a bunch of crafting projects that you need rerolled on hand.

I personally find killing monsters to be a lot more fun than sifting through menus and pulling a slot machine lever.

Too bad 99.9% of all rares roll beyond terrible. How is that "more fun"?
If you read the full post, you'll see I'm talking about the mechanic itself, not the power/rewards.

Yes, the rewards from monster drops suck. Yes, killing monsters is more fun than browsing menus.

I believe the game would be better if the most fun activities were also the most rewarding.
I've been saying that for years. The player base, and the dev team seem to think we want it this way.
The dangling carrot technique doesnt work so good when you never ever get the carrot.
There is a time to farm and a time to craft. They don't mix. It's like oil and water. It's horrendous. I'd rather have it gone than in state now. Give unlimited storage and it gets better.

Personally I'd like to see the pathetic Temple get all the crafts so it has more than 1-2 useful rooms so it's actually worth doing a full temple. Now all we give a shit about is does our temple have corruption 3 and/or Gem 3. And go straight to it and skip the rest.

Kill two shitty mechanics with one stone.

@crunk

You're 100% right it's intentional even SSF like me have to set up and buy like 15 tabs to store the setup not to waste.
