Post aura rage here. I will lock any other aura thread I see.

You got massively ripped off. That 160 number should be much much higher.

New auras look great. I wish determination was a little more distinctive (and changing its colour was also a bit confusing at first) but that's it.

The old auras looked, for the most part, really good

Please change them back, or make them a setting you can toggle in the UI.

I understand you need to appeal to those with slower or older computers, but removing the nice textures for these ... lame and subdued ones is a change in the wrong direction IMO. You could have included a slider or choice in the options menu to keep the older ones, it's not like someone using the flashy animations was hurting someone else's performance.

Just seen a dev post where they say the new auras are more detailed?

Seriously??? Have you seen the before / after???

They now look gimped and lazy. Instead of optimising code they have just downgraded one of the really nice visual elements of the game.

Previous ones were superb, no need to change.

Make it a user setting to turn on/off advanced auras please.

You need to be adding better features and gfx, not taking them away lol

Ok, they really look horrible. 4 auras up and my character looks like he is being flushed down the toilet.

I used to love all the small detail in the old auras, especially Clarity or Vitality, you would zoom in and see all those small patters in the art.

Now...there's a circle. Oh, and another circle.

I greatly prefer the new auras to the old ones.
Except for Purity, that one looks way worse than the rest.
Determination is by far the best looking, especially when compared to the old floating-shields-of-doom look.

Yeah purity im not such a big fan of. I had spent like 3 hours mucking round trying to get get it right but just gave up haha. I hated the old one though so it wasn't really a step up or down. For me anyway. At least its more optimized and less rainbow.

Since everything I could say about the auras has been already said somewhere in this thread, I´ll just queue up with the guys that would like an option to switch back to the old auras, if their machine can handle it. Man, when I loaded up the game this morning, I thought my graphic card went apeshit.. ^^

The new effects would be OK.... if I hadn´t seen the effects the way they CAN look.
New thingies look poor in comparison. :-(

I like them, they are clean.
