I seriously can't be lucky enough to get two trial master encounters in Ultimatums today soon after the patch was applied.
I have encountered three times before today ths entire league. I have rarely died during Ultimatums over many weeks now. Surely the encounter chance has been encreased in patch but not mentioned. Last bumped on Jul 9, 2021, 2:24:47 AM

Increasing the spawn rate of something that people have been complaining about for months is definitely something you wouldn't bother putting in the patch notes.

I'd say the sensible thing (from GGGs pov ofc) for this kind of alteration would be to increase the spawn rate gradually as the league progresses, because rn the league is dead and there's little to no point in running taskmasters.

Yeah but this isn't like a balance change it's a player retention change and while I hate those with a passion it doesn't mean it's not happening. GGG does plenty of changes behind the scenes.

Stopped playing when tbcc launched, decided to get back on quick to knock out some challenges. Within 20 maps, 1 raw exalted and TWO trialmasters. On white maps (wanted to speed through challenges).
RNG most likely, but I'll you guys what, I played a LOT of D3, and this felt exactly like D3s pity timer. |

A couple of people's anecdotal evidence doesn't mean a lot, I got the Trailmaster twice in 5 maps at the start of the league.
