As a league mechanic it's pretty meh. I never cared for harvest so actually the core PoE experience is pretty good at the moment.

I like a lot of what GGG has done with balancing etc. If I didn't play the heck out of Ritual (and it never existed) I would agree 100% that this is the best league.

Lessons learned for me?
1) Don't play the same build back to back
2) Don't play to the end of a league and expect to be fresh for the next one

Lesson GGG should have learned? Don't release back to back leagues that are almost identical. After thinking about this I realize that I like the playstyle of Ultimatum and the reward structure of Ritual. That would have been the best league ever.

Anyway, 10 days in I called it quits on this league which is also unprecedented for me. Part of that was I learned how to gear Toxic Rain so I was able to get best in slot gear really fast and I really didn't have any use for currency. That dampens ones enthusiasm to grind because I had made the decision to only do one character (unlike my 3 99's in Ritual).

Okay, i agree, let's add ultimatum to the core cause ya know, a man can never have enough circles to run in, mmkay.

One condition tho - i demand the addition of some additional map mods along with that wonderful meh-hanic for it to be totally fair:

- prefix "Crashing": your game client has (5-10%) chance to crash;
- suffix "of Texture Streaming": Textures stream (50-100%) slower, (5-10%) chance for textures to never finish loading;

-prefix "Streamer's": your login after the next client crash bypasses the queue in case there's one;
-suffix "of the Blur": (30-50%) increased rarity/quantity of items dropped while affected by Texture Streaming.

I miss flip phones so I dont stumble on nonsense like this.

Surely there are people out there who like this league, but I really dislike it.

I played for a bit but the mechanic itself was just a more messy Ritual that added nothing exciting (mechanic-wise).

I highly hope they do NOT put it in the core game and that the next league is gonna be a much much better experience.

If I have to rate it I'd give Ultimatum a 3/10.

I'm SUPER convinced league's amazing with all thats said so far.

I've completed every ulti running T15 and T16 maps and meh.



3 times over the past month it went past 6 rounds.

1 time to 8 rounds

No trialmasters in a month


If you like stocking up on scours, chaos, binding and vaal orbs it's great!

otherwise very meh

The inscribed ultimatums rarely drop and are meh

There is a reason why people aren't playing it much now
