TotalBiscuit to show first footage of new Shadow class May 8

I enjoyed the video though he didn't use the cool new knife skills as I had wished ;p.
Nice video, but I agree with him that many of the skills/spells should be castable without the need to stop moving and some like leap slam should be made faster and more fluent.

Oh wow, this didn't even show up in my sub box! Thank you!

That is not possible due to the limitations of the game engine. Not a problem for me, but then again I am accustomed to it from playing D2 for the past 10-12 years.
Saw the video and got reminded that this game existed, had to try it out.

Should have gotten someone who at least plays the game to preview the new class IMO.

I did not like it, didn't even really show anything except a low level trap. He might as well have been playing a Ranger. I don't think he quite understands what it means to preview a character class. Not to say I won't have a bow using shadow class, but if you're going to "preview" it, he should use it in the way it was designed for.
The worth of an item is what someone is willing to trade for it.
good stuff.

They should have given him some rare dagger or claws to showcase the shadow instead of letting him use the found rare bow and quiver to showcase the shadow-ranger style.

I was eager to see the new dagger and claw skills and gameplay.

I just spent the last hour clearing up all the misinformation that this video caused in the video comments. It appears to be a losing battle.

I'm going through it slowly (many pauses!) and noticed that when TB introduces the Skill-drasil, he says it's called 'the web'. Is this going to be an official renaming of the passive skill tree, GGG? Because it's definitely not a tree, unless we're looking at the tree from under the ground...

edit: I also just checked the web version of the tree -- not yet updated. Any ETA on that one?

edit 2 (just thoughts-on-the-fly): SO many great little graphical upgrades. Maybe I'm normally too busy playing to notice but it seems the animation overall is smoother -- items from chests, disrupting the searchable corpses. LOVE the changed enemy names too -- 'arsonist' and 'thunderguard' are so much more interesting. Wonder if detonate dead is going to be used to remove resurrectable corpses the same way we had to in D2.

Items no longer show sockets unless you mouse-over them in the inventory. As someone who is utterly in love with the artwork of his forthcoming unique, this is a BIG yes.

Doggies in the climb! Aw!

...if only he'd found Brutus...

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Haha. Thanks for trying. Correcting misinformation on websites like youtube is absolutely a lost cause.

The website skill tree gets updated when the new patch is uploaded. It pulls the data straight from the beta game files.

The skill tree never really had an 'official' name.
