Golems who die from MI dont respawn
I use Golems as buff bots, so dont bother with maxing their life. Hence they die....alot. But new elementalist node respawns them when they die. Sweet, problem fixed.
Then I think -- hey for one point I can get Minion Instability and these 15k life golems can be a fairly decent little bomb when they die. Great. It does work. But then I see I am down a golem, then two, then three. What the??? I saw someone in a reddit comment say Golems dont respawn if killed by Minion Instability. And that is exactly what is happening to me. I dont see any mention of this anywhere but that one obscure comment on reddit. What's the deal? What's the plan? Is there a fix coming soon for this. Kinda pointless saying Golems respawn but then have them NOT respawn. I had to drop Minion Instability because Rituals can destroy Golems quickly and then I lose all my buffs. Pointless build without the bonuses. Last bumped on Mar 2, 2021, 2:03:42 PM

Bump --- see notes in Patch about fixing the attacks of Stone Golems. But what about the fact ALL golems dont come back to life if they die from Minion Instability???
I dont see this mentioned anywhere. Hellooooo.....anyone? (sound of crickets) |

I tried testing this a bit last night--Elementalist using 4 golems for buffs, just allocated Minion Instability on top of what I had. At no point did a golem fail to revive.
Your issue may have more to do with several golems dying to a single attack and only a single one reviving or something. It doesn't seem to simply be an issue with Minion Instability + Golem, though. |

Golems don't auto-revive. Nor does any minion.

aha - you are wrong. That is new to the elementalist -- golems now respawn after 4 seconds.
As for statement that they are coming back to life -- I will test it out tonight. Maybe it was a silent fix when they worked on the Stone Golems. Last edited by Krashkraken#6552 on Feb 23, 2021, 6:52:00 PM

Nope - still broken. Here was the setup:
9-Golems (1 of each type with 2 extra fire and 1 extra carrion) They wouldnt die (so I had to turn off feasting fiends as well). Doing level 180 depth Delve and I finally see I am down a golem (the Chaos golem died first), then one of the Carrions, and no respawn. So I went and sold off stuff, manually respawned the two I was short, and back into the fray. Chaos guy died first again, then both carrion golems, and then one of the flame, AND NONE OF THEM RESPAWNED. Hmm, Delve issue? So Manually Respawned them all and went and did a red 15 map. After the second ritual I see I am down 2 golems (that Chaos golem seems to die first everytime). And NO RESPAWN. So it is definitely still broken. I turned my feasting fiends back on, specced out of Minion Instability. They respawn quite well when MI is not selected. Any word on this??????? More crickets chirping? |

9 golems because you're using The Primordial Chain, as mentioned in some of your posts in other threads, right?
I don't have that unique so I haven't tested with that. Have you tested without The Primordial Chain? I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if "You cannot have non-golem minions" was somehow interfering with the resummoning. |

MI itself shouldn't stop golems from respawning. There is at least one build floating around that uses respawning golems and MI as a main damage source. I also did not experience this during my own testing.
Something I noticed during my time playing elementalist for my first character this league is that the buff which respawns a dead golem will be lost when you transition areas, like some other temporary buffs. Is it possible that you walked through a portal or died and respawned while you had a dead golem waiting to respawn? Regarding Delve, I'm guessing this would happen when the azurite mine is reinstanced because you chose a node from the encampment or have reached the edge of the loaded area. I would recommend keeping a close eye on your buff bar for the next few maps/delves to see if this is what is happening to you, or if it can be ruled out as a cause. That it appears to have no issue when you deallocate MI could be a coincidence caused by the golems being dead more often due to self-destructing upon reaching low-life. |
