Thanks for getting this to work on Mac.
Having some trouble with network path save locations...
I have all my POB files on a local NAS, and I wanted to change the save path of this version to point to my NAS so I could load the same builds on my Windows PC or Mac - whichever I want.
I set the network path correctly per standard Mac network path syntax (smb://IP/path), but my existing builds do not show up on POB and my newly saved builds from Mac do not appear on the NAS.
Has anyone gotten this to work with network locations?

For anybody that wants to set up PoB / PoB2 via Whisky app - it is fairly straightforward and easy to do - you should be up and running in under 15mins. Here's a step-by-step of how I got everything working:
Setting Up Whisky and a Windows 10 bottle
1. Download the Whisky app: getwhisky.app
2. Open the Whisky app
3. Click the '+' button in the upper right corner to create a new "bottle". The bottle is basically a Windows installation that will be utilized by any applications. You should be able to use the default settings.
Installing PoB / PoB2
1. Go to the PathOfBuilding github and download the PORTABLE version - you can find this by going to "Releases" on the right hand side and scrolling down to the file links - get the "PathOfBuildingCommunity-Portable.zip" or "PathOfBuildingCommunity-PoE2-Portable.zip" file
2. In Whisky, select your bottle and click the "Open C: Drive" button on the bottom. This is effectively the C: drive for your Windows10 installation.
3. Unzip the previously downloaded PoB zip files to somewhere in the C: drive (I unzipped it to the Program Files Directory). Can also unzip it in your downloads folder and copy the expanded folder to somewhere in your Whisky C: drive
4. In Whisky, select your bottle and click the "Pin Program" button. This is basically a shortcut to whatever executable you want. Click the browse button and navigate/select the executable for PoB/PoB2 (should be something like Path of Building-POE2.exe). This should create a shortcut in your Whisky bottle
5. To run PoB, in Whisky, double click the shortcut that you created to PoB
Bonus: Path of Exile 2 the game actually works with this setup. When PoE2 was released, I played the first ~day on my M1Pro mac until it became available on GeForce Now.
(Optional) Steps to install Path of Exile 2 (probably would work for PoE1):
1. Do the Whisky Windows 10 bottle setup listed above
2. Download the PoE2 installer from pathofexile2.com/download
3. Copy the installer to somewhere on your Whisky C: drive (see steps for installing PoB/PoB2)
4. Run the installer - this will take a while and should download PoE2.
5. You will need to modify the configuration file to allow PoE2 open. The modifications are exactly the same as you need for PoE1.
Stolen from poewiki.com:
"
Locate and open the configuration file in ~/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile/production_Config.ini for M series systems. If the file has text, change the renderer_type setting from Vulkan to DirectX12. If the file is empty, add "[DISPLAY]" in one line, and "renderer_type=DirectX12" in another line underneath it. For intel-based systems, this step may not be necessary. For Intel systems the file location is the same however the renderer_type MUST be set to Vulkan.
You saved my life!! I've been looking for a way to use PoB for PoE2, and this works flawlessly. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!
