Tane's Monster
Theme: Exile you have been corrupted by Tane, in helping him revive his beloved wife in exchange for wealth and power. This hideout is the representation of his creator's madness in collecting humanoid parts and draining the life force of the other master in attempt to bring his lover back to life. My goal was to create a hideout that would have Tane as the npc near the stash tab to utilize the new Contol click on Tane for the vendor sale, and keep everything in a small environment that would be more efficient for mapping while using only one mtx that could be replaced for free to play users (even if the whole theme is built/centered around that mtx) and at the same time keeping the favor points on a budget to make the hideout more accessible to a wider number of players. Shattered Ground Hideout
A sacred device that transports exiles between dimensions was long lost in the bowels of Wraeclast until it was discovered by Zana and the masters. The Enigmatic Manor (Infinite Abyss Hideout)
(Yes, I made an in-door-house hideout in under 750 doodads on a canvas hideout xD)
The_Theme:_A_Short_Story
Upon their exploration of Wraeclast, a group of exiles and the masters who joined them found a mysterious manor. The manor is filled with books, various technology, and mechanisms that function together but the inhabitants don't know what for, as well as enough room to station important projects. Though what remains a mystery is how the manor maintains its power? How is it operating? Where did it come from and who made it? Gears and steam are everywhere; fog seeps in from many cracks; and the echoes of grinding gears are heard from the main hallway. The only answer to all of these questions can only be answered by the one being that has called it home since it was constructed: A young girl that haunts the mysterious halls; a lone female ghost who wanders and controls the house. Though she knows the history of the manor, and what transpired within it, she doesn't seem to want to tell the exiles nor the masters... but she has allowed them to stay within her dwelling place as guests. What would come of the exiles? Will they ever find out the manor's history? Will they ever find out who the mysterious phantom is? These are the questions of the Enigmatic Manor. Why did I make this hideout? Simple: I saw that there were many people who disliked the Hideout. In Youtube, the like-dislike ratio for this hideout was among the highest I've ever seen. There's plenty of reasons as to why I think the Hideout got so much hate; but I just wanted to show that these empty hideouts show "promise". They are an empty canvas just waiting for those daring enough to paint on them using what PoE has given us through the favor system. I have to mention though, I'm no white Knight. I'm just someone who likes to look at things from the lighter perspective. I've always wanted to create an in-doors type of hideout, but the hideout presets/tilesets were not the ones I was aiming for. I wanted to start a tileset from scratch. I bought the Celestial Nebula Hideout because of this, but due to how the lighting/sunlight works there, I could never make a 'truly' indoors hideout from scratch using it. And them it appeared, the infinite abyss hideout. It was a dream come true since it doesn't have sun-shadows for your character. The shadows on the doodads are also decreased which is a massive help in making indoor themed hideouts. As you can see from my creation, the Infinite Abyss Hideout can be used to create wonderful hideouts. I have to admit though that the 750 doodad limit was really annoying; especially since I have to start from scratch with the walls, lighting, and effects but once I found a counter to that problem things went really smoothly. I guess all I'm saying is, give some of these templates a chance. It might surprise you to find out what sorts of work you can make through them ^ ^ Also, if in the possibly low chance I manage to reach the top 30 or honorable mention; then that should help me prove that these 'canvas' or 'empty' hideouts aren't as bad as some think they are. Though honestly? Even if I don't reach a place, I think my hideout isn't too bad and already shows my a point xD Not to mention I literally started from scratch and worked at an unusual angle I think hahaha - The creator of the Enigmatic Manor, Reinier Thank you for reading and passing by The Enigmatic Manor! I decided to repost my original Greek island hideout,since I made a LOT of upgrades to it in past few days :D. I worked on this hideout for 2 leagues now and I am pretty sure at some point I will find ways how to improve it even more :).
Coral hideout remade into lush greek island. I tried to create something that would remind me of greek architecture and mythology and I got mostly inspired by AC:Odyssey tbh :D.
