Why Cronk's Test is Inconclusive - The Stats

Im trying to explain its just as difficult to get a weapon for any class and that "witches" do not have a tougher time with itemization then other classes. And yes you lose damage dualwielding with cyclone if both your weapons are not of equal or close damage.

You're ignoring the fact that (first list below) pure int items exist in a much smaller quantity than say, Str/Dex. His actual drop rate (second list) isn't that far off from the potential item list. Based on this, their RNG is fine. What's not fine, is that there are only 19 int items dropping from 1-23. I'm not sure how to express this properly, but I'm trying to say that because the items seem to be weighted evenly and because there are fewer "witch" items, witches get fewer opportunities at drops.

I think that's what hes trying to say.

Up to required-level 23 there are 194 Equipment Items that have a chance to drop. The class distribution of those items is as follows:

Str - 27 (14%)
Str/Dex - 34 (17.5%)
Str/Int - 24 (12.5%)
Dex - 31 (16%)
Dex/Int - 24 (12.5%)
Int - 19 (10%)
Neutral - 35 (18%)

then this is all his post should have had in it...then the "sample size!" cries would not have mucked the thread up.

all he did was show that pure INT items lag a few behind DEX and STR at lvl 23...nothing more nothing less.

Tabx, I enjoy your posts quite a bit. while our starting conclusions may differ, I find I learn from your posts quite a bit. I think your point of mods on weapons impacting the chance of quality item drops very useful and pertinent. While not so much for this thread, it definitely is worth further analysis on. I haven't looked into the mods in that much detail. Perhaps, one day I will.

I dont even need math to see through this. Its all a bunch of pointless posturing. "I have better maths than you!" nerd crap.

I've avoided using numbers in my posts, can you quote me instead?

I don't know why you're so angry but I did just mention that the number of potential modifiers an item can have can vary from item type to item type. Bows and Maces have the fewest mods, therefore making it easier to gamble your items (or finding it). Daggers are a solid choice for using them as a weapon, but they do lack Cold% Damage and Fire% damage. Additionally, daggers have a couple more options for more less desirable mods like Additional Dex. Staves and Scepters are no man's land.

agree with you too scorpitron. if the point was the list of potential items to drop from, i think it would be best if the discussion stuck to just that. the experiment sent everyone off down the sample size path.
