Are streamers being paid to pretend they like this league?

This is one of the reason I respect Mathil. He's has a spine.

They have to hype the league because it means hyping their own content. Mathil was quite honest about his opinon (and he hates the league). If GGG cant come up with a major change this week, then next WE certain other games will have a certain increase in player numbers^^ Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

" not all Mathil for example doesn't hate it but doesn't like it either its meh for him |
|
" There's also another streamer named darkee. The guy is in the #1 world guild in WoW and world second in poe harvest boss kill in ssf hc. He's currently going over what he doesn't like about harvest. The most notable thing he talked about was how t16 seeds dont even grow unless you do a t16 map. That sounds annoying AF. |

" This is so true. It's painfully obvious that a lot of the complaints stem from the fact that the community as a whole hasn't optimized the system yet. It's an exact replica of the delirium start. |

I cant even bring myself to play this mess. I'm playing Hideout Simulator. I'm hoping Sea of Thieves goes on Sale during Steam Summer Sale then I'm out boys till next league.
I dont even know how they fix this league. What? Make the 10 monsters you kill on your little patch of land drop a bit more loot? League sucks. Gonna be interesting to see the Steam Charts by next week. It already looks like its taking a nose dive, and we are only a few days into the league. And most of the streamers live in denial or fake it till they make it because losing your viewers 3-4 days into a brand new league isn't good for business. League starts are when they get a nice boost. So of course a lot of streamers are going to be singing the praises of GGG while they slog through this garbage of a league. |

Streamers, influencers, content creators w/e usually have a vested interest in the content's popularity even if they themselves are popular for the opposite in most cases so Gz for thinking for yourself and not blindly following.
Players which disliked Synthesis or similar Leagues at their start would most likely not like this one but other factors may sway them to stick around. Seeing Chris talk to ZiggyD and this League referred to as Synthesis 2.0 was a bad sign to the majority of those players even if they shrugged off the comment as I did they were probably put off just by the thought of placing farming items in an ARPG side area. *I gotta give props to Chris for putting himself out there in such ways I've not seen many in his position do and its always nice to see him and others comment on the game usually with a lot of tongue in check too. Imo a League mechanic should or at least try to pull in the majority of your existing players that focus on League only. When you choose HC, SSF or STD you do so knowing the actual or perceived benefits/drawbacks. As I see it, you play HC your gonna get oneshot eventually in current state of game unless dilute gameplay by a lot, SSF you play against RNG even more and STD is like a time warp version of the game where you play with/accumulate Godlike gear at your leisure/as time allows. Take the League mechanic out of the League for those who don't like it and what you got? Arguably worse versions of the other options. Its ok to skip a League or two if its not your thing (I do it) but knowing you waited 3 months or more for them to include basically Synth 2.0 is rough. Synth was badly received upon implementation so much so only a fraction got added to core. Go figure. |

" T16 seeds only growing from a t16 map sounds perfect to me. no more spamming a t1/2 map and getting better rewards. More high end stuff should be limited to high end content only. I'm loving Harvest and already hopeful it goes core. The crafting is excellent and would be a great way to expand on what we currently have. Its non intrusive, if you dont like it or enjoy it dont do it. just like dont get sulphite if you dont like to delve. Do other content you do like and just trade for items. Scarabs put all the control into your hands, you can do a certain content you like almost all the time. sell the scarabs you dislike and buy the ones you do. I hated delirium which was basically breach 2.0 instead of running around in a circle along the edge you ran towards the map end along the edge. Boring imo. |

" Mathil is also one of the few streamers I respect as well. He speaks his mind rather than being a mouthpiece. Meanwhile in "proper" Standard v1 I am enjoying playing my already levelled toons and testing builds out. I may make a Harvest toon at some point merely to see just how it works briefly, but it's not high on my list of things to do. I wonder if Mathil's RNG levels will be magically reduced to those of us mere mortals again as a result of this, haha :) I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG. Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes. Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control! |

There is a major case of if someone agrees with me they have a spine going in this thread
loads of the streamers race/play SSF of course they are going to have a better outlook on a safer crafting league than the regular crowd this league is crazy good for SSF and crazy good if you wanted to do good crafting but don't have access to 100000 people to sell you their shit for your hundreds of exalts. Aside from Ziggy who obviously requires a positive relationship with GGG in return for his coverage i've not heard the rest ever pull their punches, they slagged delirium off, they slagged metamorph off etc. I've not heard anyone say they like the implementation of this league, the rewards are fairly split if you like loot its bad, if you like crafting its good. (in actual player numbers this isn't split as I suspect far more fall into the first than the second) Everything in between is just player perspective and preference don't act like people are sellouts just because they have a different opinion |
