[3.24] The Infused Trickster | Build update. High Block. EHP has doubled | Demo video up

Hi,
I'm not sure the build is SSF viable. I've never tested it this way. The build uses several uniques that are not that common.
This said, you can get the Singularity sceptre, which is quite common, allowing you to do a budget version of the build.

But I think getting Heatshiver helmet and Annihilating Light sceptre is more difficult in SSF.

3.23 patch notes

Buff to the quality bonuses of LT :

Lightning Tendrils:
Quality now provides +0-40% to Critical Strike Multiplier, instead of 0-20% increased Lightning Damage.

But with the loss of alt qual gems, we lose Phantasmal LT, which is sad. Because we lose the huge buff to the Stronger Pulse.

Heatshiver helmet also gets hit by the nerf Hammer, with only 30% cold as extra fire dmg against Frozen enemies (down from 100%).

The build can deal so much dmg that I'm sure we won't feel the difference for most of the game.

Just noticed something important in the list of all 20/+20% changed skill gems :

Lightning Tendrils will get the "Critical" tag, meaning we can get +3 levels with the Critical mastery on the tree. So this is very good.
For reference, currently +3 levels to a 20/20% normal quality LT = +25% DPS.
This will partially compensate the loss of Phantasmal quality.

Could be interesting to test LT + CWC + the new Transfigured Arc of Surging for clear.

LT base dmg = 75 to 1420.
Effectiveness of Added Dmg = 130%

LT of Eccentricity

Inferior base damage : 33 to 629 = 44% of normal dmg.
Effectiveness = 60%

A Stronger Pulse every 6 pulses, deals 500% more dmg, has 150% more AoE.

I already love it, as the spiritual successor of Phantasmal LT !
The Stronger Pulse should deal 264% of base dmg (44%*6). I hope it will be worth it.



LT of Escalation

Superior base damage : 86 to 1633 = 115% of base dmg.
Effectiveness : 150%.

No +crit multi from quality.
No Strong Pulse, so no "always crit".
Does not have the "Critical" tag.
+1 meter radius per sec of channelling, up to 2 meters.


So Eccentricity is for bosses, Escalation for mapping.
Great gems concepts, that totally justify a gem swap between map and boss :)

My current numbers in 3.22

Normal quality
Normal pulse : 6.76M
Stronger Pulse : 26.74M

Phantasmal
Normal pulse : 4.63M
Stronger Pulse : 45.64M

Mistake : the "+3 levels" Critical mastery applies to support gems only.
So maybe we'll need to figure another way to scale LT dmg from its Critical tag.

With the nerf to Heatshiver helmet, we can no longer get 100% cold dmg as extra fire (only 30%). Hence, we can't proc Trinity support.
A quick solution is to replace it with Controlled Destruction.

Once PoB is updated, I'll search if there is a better solution.

The normal skill gems have been updated.
With the removal of Phantasmal LT, we lose almost half of the dmg on the Stronger Pulse !
Also, I had to replace Trinity with Controlled Destruction after the nerf to Heatshiver helmet.

The Transfigured gems are not included yet.
I have acquired both LT of Escalation (AoE version) and of Eccentricity (buffed Stronger Pulse). The former is a bit disappointing, even for farming, and lacks DPS against bosses. On the other hand, Eccentricity, as the spiritual successor of Phantasmal LT, feels quite good.
I'll be curious to know the exact numbers.

FULL 3.23 UPDATES

1- Rework of the build

With the nerf to Heatshiver helmet, we lose DPS. And since we can't get 100% cold as extra fire dmg, we also lose Trinity support.

> To compensate this loss, I have chosen to go back to a former version of the build, with Viridi's Veil Helmet, Coward's Legacy belt and a magic ring (previously featured in 3.20).



Together, these items allow you to be considered on low life and to be hexproof.

> I have removed the Elegant Hubris jewel that granted Gemling Inquisition notables (80% inc spell dmg) and allocated other nodes on the tree to get some QoL features : more cast speed, more chaos res and immunity to Corrupted Blood.

* The build is now immune to all elem ailments, to all curses and to Corrupted Blood, as well as to any slowing effect (from the Ascendancy)

I have tested both LT of Escalation and LT of Eccentricity.
Here are numbers comparisons between 3.22 and 3.23, in millions DPS.

AoE : up to 5.4m
Replace Awakenened Controlled Destruction with Inc Crit Strikes.

LT of Eccentricity (big Stronger Pulse)
Normal pulse : 1.6
AoE : 3.2 m
Stronger Pulse : 51.54
AoE : 5.0m

As you can see, the Eccentricity Stronger Pulser is better than the Phantasmal former version, but you get it only every 6 pulses (4 before) and normal Pulses deal a third of previous dmg.
Nevertheless, LT of Eccentricity is the true spiritual successor of Phantasmal LT.

LT of Escalation is ok for farming, thanks to better base dmg, increasing AoE over 2 secondes. But it lacks the Stronger Pulse, making it a mediocre spell against single targets.

Lightning Tendrils is available at level 1. You can also use Ethereal Knives at the beginning. I also like Holy Flame Totems for the first acts.
My recommendation is to get the Singularity sceptre when you reach level 62. This sceptre will carry you a long way into the Atlas.

/!\ For the endgame (levels 90+), do NOT use an Alternating sceptre or the Interrogation unique jewel, as these mechanics have been nerfed.
