[3.24] The Infused Trickster | Build update. High Block. EHP has doubled | Demo video up

Hi Edgerunners ;)

Here is a demo with the Perepiteia shield. I've got it corrupted with good rolls, so I wanted to test it and it's actually a fine option for the build.



Total : 22% inc cast speed.

Some leagues ago, I had made two videos that were a bit like cyberpunk short movies, especially the second one, Synthetic Dreams :

The Eradicator

But that was in 3.15, before the big rework of all self-cast spells, which then doubles the DPS of the build. Before that, DPS was not really good. You can see that against the Eradicator in the first video above.
Now that LT has really high dmg, I'll try to do other short movies like these. I'll see if I get some inspirations (not that Internet lacks cyberpunk-related content !)

I have a question about travel skill Lightning Warp, you use 0% quality Vaal one, isn't it better to use 20% (+20% Cast Speed) normal one?

You're right, I'll correct this in the PoB.
I never use the Vaal skill.

Heatshiver, Marylene's amulet, Arn's Anguish belt (Brutal charges) and two Call of the Brotherhood rings.

Compared to 3.20 setup with Viridis's Veil and Coward's belt, it has much more DPS, less defenses and is less expensive.

Alternate choices of Sceptre and Shields

As I was doing some tests in PoB, I realized that you can also use the Cerberus Limb sceptre. It grants a little bit less dmg compared to the Singularity, but more Evasion and Armour.


Also, for the shield, I'm currently using the Perepiteia.


But there are numerous unique shields that can fit this build. I've used the Light of Lunaris for a long time.
Other uniques :
* Esh's Visage (for chaos res)
* Atziri's Reflection (very expensive)
* Aegis Aurora
* The Immortal Will, tailored for all channelling skills
* Surprisingly, the Bitterbind Point, a shield for Spectre summoners, can be good, as it grants Arcane Surge on crit.
* Leper's Alms offers some life, Evasion, and 40% inc duration of ailments on enemies.

* Rathpith's Globe offers more DPS, as well as life and spell block, but is dangerous to play, as you lose life each time you cast a spell. I died a lot when I tried.

Several small improvements :

* For LT, Bonechill replaces Inc Cri Strikes support.

* Lightning Warp has been optimized, with 20% quality. Swift Affliction has been replaced with Enhance level 3 for even faster casting. It does feel smoother.
Thank to Himnar for the suggestion.

* 4L : Frost Shield or Cold Snap + Inc Duration + Wrath + Divine Blessing

--> I generally use the Frost Shield rather than Cold Snap, but I keep Swift Killer ascendancy for the duration of Brutal charges from Arn's belt.


I haven't ticked the Frenzy charges.

* Default Sceptre is always the Singularity. I have also included :
- the Cerberus Limb : 3% less DPS, 10% more EHP.
- a rare Sceptre from a past league : 6% more DPS.

* Corrupted Perepiteia shield. A rare shield with lot of ES and chaos res.

* My regular ES rare body armour. I have included a Skin of the Lords : 15% more DPS, less chaos res.

* 20% crit Catalyst quality on Marylene's amulet.

This amulet grants 30% more DPS for the normal Pulse and 150% more for the Stronger Pulse !

* Still going with two Forbidden jewels to get Born In The Shadows from the Saboteur Ascendancy.

Apart from the body armour and the gloves, all pieces are unique items. Talk about a Gucci build !

Next time, I'll be tinkering with Perfect Crime, from Saboteur ascendancy (with the Forbidden jewels), to get two Trigger bots to cast the spells channelled by LT.

Recently bought a new Laptop and got back into the game after a few years hiatus, having tried a few builds that didn't work for me, I found yours and haven't looked back!

I have a couple of questions and would welcome your advice:

Given that the build uses so many uniques, the chest (and gloves, but I need those for RES currently) is one of the only pieces where we can hunt for upgrades. What mods make for best in slot body armour?

I've never seen you mention controlled destruction support on the LT link, whats the reason for this? Given most our damage comes from our auto-crit stronger pulses (especially with the phantasmal LT), it seems like a nice 'more' damage multiplier.

Sorry for late answers.

Good questions.

1) Body armour mods. Generally, I simply want ES, life and some chaos res + relevant Eldritch implicits. Also, elem res if you are not capped due to the numerous unique items.



The "life as extra ES" crafted mod is now legacy. Instead, I could craft +flat ES or +flat life and ES. Another interesting mod would be "5-6% phys dmg taken as fire dmg + 5-6% phys taken as lightning dmg".
Actually, I've just discovered this mod. 10-12% phys dmg taken as elem is a good defense.

2) True, we can use Controlled Destruction (CD). If I replace ES Leech support with CD, I gain 12% more dmg for the Stronger Pulse, and lose 30% of dmg on the normal pulses.
