Made a opinion post on the POE's subreddit. Big Mistake.
So I made a post talking about how GGG ironically tried to slow down some zoom zoom builds but ended up creating another one through Herald Stacking. It was entirely opinion based, Never meant to trash talk about anyone at GGG or even devalue the fun experience of playing POE. But for whatever reason I was bombarded with people trashing me on simply sharing a viewpoint of the game. I still enjoy the game no matter where the game goes. Apparently, as soon as you mention some of the trigger words like "Chris", "Herald Stacking", "nerfs", etc. You will 100% get ganged by the community for simply sharing an opinion.
TLDR; Don't post an opinion on Reddit expecting to have a decent conversation with anyone there. Apparently, the community views sharing an honest opinion as a raging child complaining about the game and gangs on you with toxicity. I don't know how it is like to share opinions on POE's forum site but after that experience I wouldn't be surprised to find it happen here. Last bumped on May 9, 2020, 11:08:09 AM

it's not just reddit most people here will also defend GGG if you're not praising them

You could replace "reddit" with "internet" in your post and it'd still be true.

I didn't know they tried to slow something down. Where did you get this idea?
The league makes you go faster. It has nothing to do with heralds. |

Some defend GGG on all fronts, while some people disagree with you, and get wrongfully put in a box as a "whiteknight", defending GGG on all fronts. It goes both ways. That said, Reddit is a cesspool of mob mentality.
Anyhow, on topic: GGG can talk as much as they want about "slowing down the game". As long as they keep introducing timed mechanics, it's all talk, and no walk. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" difference is there's no chinese social rating system here where everyone downvotes you and your post disappears. if your post isn't worth mentioning, no one replies and then it disappears |

The reddit hivemind is real. The conversation can go either way real fast but it's mostly the wrong way.

" I didn't understand the "distaste" for reddit for a long time. But as I would look things up and reddit links would pop up, it was crazy how often it was some scathing review of whatever - just excessive levels of anger even over mundane things. I can appreciate "passion" but the levels of stupidity not so much. Yep, totally over league play.

It is reddit hivemind. Once someone makes a post, be it positive and negative, others will follow.

PoE forums are often just as bad, but without the down/upvoting.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
