Act 2 - Dark Forest - client crash
When i tried to enter dark forest i got this exception
Audio/Sound Effects/Ambient/Waterfalls_Fires/Fire_Large_1.loop.ogg Decoded no data and after this i got runtime error and my client crashed.
You may have corrupted data somewhere in your pack file that is causing this? Try following these steps and see if they come up with anything.

I just got this same thing today.
It happened a few hours ago and I haven't seen it again since then. Last edited by FaceLicker on Apr 10, 2012, 8:00:16 PM

I experienced the same issue, followed by a crash of the client. Now I crash whenever trying to enter the Dark Forest. It says "unable to map file" as the exception.
I ran the pack checker and it returned no issues.
RESOLVED! See note at the bottom...
I just tried doing a ctrl-click to create a new instance (even though I haven't been able to load the area at all) and it crashed with multiple "bad allocation" errors. Here's the actual crash message from windows:

I am running a 3.4ghz quad Intel CPU with an ATI 5850 card and 4 gigs of ram in Win7 32. I'll just keep running with the gc-2 since that fixed the problem. " I've been having the same problem too and running a pack check does not resolve it. Last edited by dakkagod on Aug 11, 2012, 8:42:57 AM
